This works perfectly with that little essay on the t'hy'la footnote argumenting that Kirk's answer wasn't an answer at all (one of Kirk's "arguments" being that he wouldn't want to be thought of as a fool for choosing a partner who only would have sex once every 7 years). Also this member of Spock's legion of fans thanks you again Theodore Sturgeon...

It's definitely one of the best lines of all of Star Trek, period
