Buck and Eddie are temporarily broken up, Eddie runs into Bucks doppelgänger (named Tim or Jim or some variation of Kim) and dates him for an episode to make Buck jealous but everyone at the firehouse thinks it’s an elaborate prank until the end scene where both Buck and Jim are at the same place at the same time. Jim says “oh for fucks sake” and flees the scene. Eddie and Buck get back together and the camera pans to Chris (home early from college to surprise his dads) who just saw the whole thing. Chris mutters “not again” and walks away.

Okay y’all, let’s talk Buddie odds!

Currently, I have the odds of a Buddie confirmation tonight at about 50/50 (not them officially going canon but some sort of indication that it’s heading there next season).

If we get confirmation of feelings on either side, Buddie canon ever odds go up to 99%. Obviously if there would be a confirmation of feelings on both sides, that would be 100% and officially Buddie canon lol (not expecting this at all)

If we don’t get feelings confirmation but we do get hints that it could go there next season (longing looks, observations by others, reinforcement of their family unit, that sort of thing), ever odds go up to 75%.

The only things that will dip odds below 50/50 is if there is a reiteration of straight Eddie, reiteration by Buck that he isn’t in love with Eddie, or either Eddie or Buck enters a different relationship. If any of those occur, odds go down by 15%. If two or all three of those occur, odds go down to basically 0%.

Everything else will maintain 50/50 odds. I’m not expecting this episode to change anything.

My prediction is the odds to stay at 50/50 going into season 10.

New headcanon that when Eddie and Buck have kids together, their kids call them Dad and Buck. Eddie tries to argue with their toddler that their other father is Papa, and not to call their own father Buck, but they insist that his name is Buck because that’s what their big brothers Chris and Theo call him. Kid logic.

It sticks. Eventually the kids are old enough to know better but they still call their parents Dad and Buck. Teachers think Buck must be their stepdad but Buck doesn’t really care because the people who matter know the truth and he has an army of children who call him by the name he chose for himself when he needed someone to choose to love him. Now he has proof of that love every time one of his babies calls out for him.

And it’s a joke as the kids get older. Some families have a mom and a dad, some families have two moms or two dads, and some families have a dad and a Buck. Their family tree is a bit confusing. Eddie gives a sex talk and says “now when a dad and a buck love each other very much…” their teenage daughter rolls her eyes.

The concept of buck getting a mini him (with chaos, impulsiveness,adhd, recklessness and all) and getting to realise he was never hard to love??? That it was his parents all along???

As much as I was expecting to be mad about Buck having fatherhood thrust upon him so suddenly… I actually love the route they’re going with Theo. Buck gets to give this kid the love he deserved and was denied by his own parents. He gets to heal his inner child, and he gets to do it himself. I think that’s really lovely actually.

And I know as far as the plot is concerned at this point, Theo is in foster care with someone else, but I don’t know where else this plot would be going except to end with Buck becoming a guardian.

Of all the heated rivalry discourse I’ve seen online, I’ve never seen anyone comment on Shane’s disgusting ass feet in the beginning of episode 6 😂

You’re telling me THE Shane would have allowed his own dirty feet on his sofa and bed?! Absolutely not. How did the whole production crew miss that and not tell Hudson to wash his feet 😂

I didn’t care that 911 was soap-opera-silly. I loved how dumb and ridiculous and over the top it was. I enjoyed the absolutely strange plot lines and the comedy of the drama.

Until they killed Bobby.

Once Tim killed Bobby for “realism” I stopped enjoying the silliness of the show. Now, every time the plot is insane, I just get upset instead of enjoying the silly.

If there is a surprise child for Buck at the end of the season, I am hopingggg the child’s parents are alive and Buck can take on a role as a co-father (rather than parent(s) dying and Buck becoming a single father) … coparenting would be so much more interesting and appropriate for his story line sorry I said it

Better yet, what I’d rather happen is this: on a call, Buck meets the kid and thinks that he’s the kids father, but turns out he isn’t. But this gets him thinking about what he wants and how he wants to become a father. Then he and Eddie could finally talk about the will and how he already is a father…

But knowing how 911 is written, they’re going to make Buck a single father and I’m already mad about it.

I wonder what text Eddie unsent??? I’m having fun imagining the kinds of things he would say and then immediately regret and unsend but also I can’t figure out what it would actually be 😂
