started re-reading the secret history. two things:

I. Francis is implied to be gay before Richard even meets him, with male acquaintances implied to be wondering about Richard being interested in him in a gay way.

II. before we learn Camilla and Charles are twins and siblings, the first assumption Richard makes is that they're boyfriend and girlfriend.

Since Henry and Bunny have the same glasses frames, do you think Henry would take them off sometimes and remember how Bunny’s looked cracked with blood on them and hanging off of one of his ears? Do you think he puts them on in the morning and remembers how Bunny had once come bursting back into their dorm first year because he’d mistakenly taken Henry’s glasses, not his own, and only realized when he finally slipped them on during the walk away from their dorm? Do you think he remembers getting into an awful fight with Bunny and taking them off for a time because he couldn’t stand having anything reminding him of that leech near him?
