From technical point, the challenge was to depict a realistic orbital shot while meeting the requirements of a storybook illustration and layout design as well as i343 expectations. Due to 6k native resolution, a lot of time was spent on detailing, including ships, debris and surface below. Fortunately, the printing quality was able to capture all these tiny bits.”

Hey all!  Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I’ve had my head down with some projects that hopefully I’ll be able to talk more about soon! On a more serious note, this is actually pretty neat. I always thought the turian models had those nose slits, but it’s just the texture and not on the mesh. Bioware had the weights painted in a way that makes it seem like they wiggle separately. Pure white is 100%, black is 0%, so you can see the dropoff where the slits are supposed to be.
