Hello! There seems to be a bunch of new folks here thanks to Tumblr Radar picking up one of my posts, so I thought I'd do a quick re-introduction :)
Welcome to Sketch of the Day! Every single day on my site (since Jan 1st, 2012) I post an original piece of art - typically digital speedpaintings that I spend about 20 minutes on. These sketches aren't always done on each day (sometimes it's necessary to queue a few of them up when life gets busy), but they represent a continuous effort of over 14 years to practice, learn, and share.
This Tumblr account is where the project started. I used to post every single sketch here day by day, but nowadays the only place getting dailies as they happen is my own site. Over the years, different automation tools for cross-posting have come and gone, breaking my workflow, and this blog has even been taken down by Tumblr multiple times for being a "bot" (I guess consistency is suspicious!) - so rather than using automation to put every sketch on here, I've switched over to using this blog as a place to manually round up highlights.
I sometimes post process videos/timelapses on YouTube
I have prints available for sale on INPRNT, most of which are dailies that I've spent some extra time to clean up and improve (the images on this post are examples of this)
I have a FAQ section on my site, but my asks here are open if there's anything else you want to know
I also post on Bluesky (mostly just reposts of the highlights I post here)
I'm very anti-AI. All my paintings are 100% human-made by me. Always have been and always will be.
I'm also a game developer - my art style for games shifts around a bit, but you'll probably recognize my paintings in several of my games
