Racing in! We have some lovely things to celebrate! I was really curious to see what people focused on for this post ... even though I figured that a little red-headed boy would feature prominently!
Thank you all for your participation! This fandom is so incredibly blessed by your talent!

If I could draw, I would absolutely draw Qui-Gon with teenage Obi-Wan and Satine each slung over one shoulder like sacks of potatoes, squabbling at each other across his back.
I can't draw, so I present this image for your consideration instead.
She remembered soft hair and a gentle smile. She remembered polished armour and a ready blaster.
She remembered her father’s ready laughter at a quick-fire joke. She remembered how the piano sounded beautiful and the voice beautifully out of tune.
She remembered being told that somewhere inside was her sister, and that her job would be to look after her, always. She remembered nodding eagerly, excitedly.
She remembered the buzz of building a nursery, a crib. Picking toys.
My HOT TAKE ON SATINE AND KORKIE, because today is the Mother prompt day for @satineweek, is that she really is his aunt but raised him as a mother after his mother died shortly after giving birth to him.
Satine is deliberately modeled on Elizabeth I, so I strongly believe she and Bo Katan had an Elizabeth and Mary Tudor dynamic going on where there is TERRRIBLLEEE family drama from Adonai Kryze dumping Bo's mom for Satine's mom IN ADDITION to the whole religious/political schism thing, just like with Liz and Mary holding each other prisoner and going to war and all.
And so, by extension, Korkie's mom is a Queen Jane Seymour figure-- nearly as young as Satine was when Korkie was born, then she dies tragically. Satine steps in to raise the boy as her heir.
Don't get Bo and Satine started on Adonai's wives 4, 5, and 6, though, if you thought 1, 2, and 3 were enough drama.
Except in my headcanon, the Mandalorians are polygamous, so it's more like the Inter-Wife Drama on those dope palace drama soaps.
Also in my headcanon, Satine's banished mom, Athine Nameless, is played by non-other than Helen Mirren. Because she has to be plausibly "introduced the concept of a blow job to a new sector" level hot. Obi Wan is terrified of her.

For Day 2 of Satine Week: “Mother”.
Yesterday I looked at the @satineweek prompts and this came to me in a vision, so…ta da?
For this prompt I wanted to especially emulate how alone Satine would have felt during a pregnancy with Korkie as a young duchess still establishing her rule while also navigating a secret motherhood.
Over the course of the week, I'll do my best to collect posts that people have intentionally made for Satine Week so that after all seven days, we have a master list of sorts. I'll keep updating as people post, so look for the most recent version!
(If I miss something that's been posted, kindly draw my attention to it in the comments!)
I highly encourage you to enjoy your fellow celebrants' work and lavish them profusely with praise and adoration (including comments, tags, kudos, likes, and reblogs)!
Thanks to all who have participated so far! -Jess

A collection of Satine Kryze-centric fics for Satine Week 2024
As promised, my one-shots that I wrote for Satine Week! I had a lot of fun writing these, and got use some concepts and headcanons that were previously trapped in my tentatively planned yotr longfic that may or may not end up seeing the light of day. I’ll post one chapter a day every day this week, corresponding with the prompts
Instead of doing really lengthy pieces this week for Satine Week, I did little snippets or drabbles that act as companion content for "Echo" and "Asphodel," but can stand as quick reads on their own. I'm sharing them all in one space on Ao3 (called "The Sundari Archives") and I'll update each day and tag appropriately.

DAY 1: Jewel
Quote prompts: “When your life is on display, you cherish the things that are yours alone.”
As she approaches, his gaze slides along her body several times, almost without stopping. To her great regret, he clenched his hands, which were previously hanging loosely at his hips, into fists, but as soon as she stops in front of him he unclenches it with an exhalation.
“To be honest, I’m still not sure that this is a bracelet,” while Satine, lifting her sleeve, unfastens the beskar clasp on the leather cord, his attentive gaze doesn't leave her wrist. “My father wore his around his neck, and my mother… I don’t know. I’ve never seen it.”
“Me too,” Obi-Wan responds quietly and, when her eyebrows arch questioningly, he explains: “If one of your parents gave it to you personally, then you could only receive it before… before we met. But I didn't see this one. Never.”
“When your life is on display, you cherish the things that are yours alone. Cherish and hide. Here,” with the clasp finally is done, and she hands him the leather cord with a smile. “I wish you had it.”
“What?” blinking in surprise, he even retreats. “I… I can’t accept it.”
She squints suspiciously, still holding her hand outstretched.
“You said that Jedi are not forbidden to accept a gifts.”
“I did. But it belonged to one of your parents.”
“Yes, it belonged. And I really want it to belong to you now,” her gaze falls on the leather cord, against the background of her pale skin it seems even darker than it really is. “It always seemed to me that I was more of its temporary custodian than its real owner.”
“But…”
“Obi-Wan, please.”
Pursing his lips and yet nodding somehow completely exhausted, Obi-Wan nevertheless takes the cord - carefully, trying not to touch her palm - and, to her delight, wraps it around his neck and begins to fasten it.
“You know,” she allowed to sound herself a little flirtatiously, “they were passed down in my mother’s family for several dozen generations. She gave the second one to my father during their marriage vows.”
His fingers, still gripping the beskar clasp, tremble slightly.
“It's warm,” he says quietly.
“Really?” Satine open her mouth in surprise. “I've always had a cold one. May I?..”
