hmmm i wouldn’t say he sucks i just think it was a short-sighted casting choice ❤️‍🩹 he sounds decent in s1 but ……. suguru should have a smooth and silky-sounding voice above all else and lex lang, while his voice is pleasant in its own way, doesn’t really have that. i don’t think it’s too bad a fit for his adult self but it doesn’t fit his teen self at all and that gap is so noticeable ………

this is a hot take that i don’t think . other people would generally get behind lmao but personally i like the idea of teen suguru in particular being voiced by johnny yong bosch (not his vash voice but something like his yu narukami voice ……) don’t think it would fit cult leader suguru though. so it’s kinda tough. but ultimately i think going for a voice that sounds more youthful would have been better (when lex lang was first cast i don’t think the director had suguru’s hidden inventory disposition in mind the slightest unfortunately TvT i don’t even think they distinguished him from kenjaku until zero was turned into a movie so he has a voice fundamentally chosen for kenjaku, who has a very small role in season 1, not suguru himself…..)

Kind of embarrassed to find out it was actually from three years ago and he has since apologized for that post and says it was taken out of context.

I still think his usage of "woke" Is kind of iffy, but yeah... should've looked into this more before I sent that >_>;

That aside, I do agree that his voice, while not bad, isn't quite the right fit for Suguru. He needed a softer voice, but I can't think of anyone in particular who would be a good fit 🤔

Saving this post to show my boss who I told the AI flier makes us look lazy and ignorant, and offered to hand draw one. She still printed tons of ai fliers and I'm tempted to make a better one just because it annoys me so much.
