Alright kids, take a seat because we are about to get lectured again. It is 2020 STOP SENDING ANON HATE. Stop sending anonymous messages that attack someone simply because you do not agree with their portrayal. If you have a problem, or do not agree with something step away from the anon feature and simply BLOCK or SOFT BLOCK them. Transphobia, discrimination, bigotry, hate speech of any kind, harassment, and bullying is NOT OKAY. It is okay not to agree with how someone interprets and portrays their character, nobody is forcing you to like someone’s portrayal. But what is NOT OKAY is sending hate. 

THIS BLOG DOES NOT SUPPORT HATE, BIGOTRY, TRANSPHOBIA, HOMOPHOBIA, OR BULLYING!

While a good majority of us on this site are adults, there are also minors so it’s time for us adults to start setting a good example. Do you realize how immature it is to sit behind your computer screen and send hate simply because you do not like the way someone portrays their muse? This site has this wonderful feature called BLOCKING someone, so if you don’t like their portrayal simply block them. It takes less effort to BLOCK someone then it does to be nasty.

Let’s be kind in the RPC this year rather than sending out hate. Do you know how detrimental harsh words can be to someone? You do not know what someone’s home life is like or why they chose to come onto this site. Perhaps it is an escape from the stresses of their everyday lives, and for you to sit there and make the conscious decision to send hate is utterly appalling. There are far more worst problems in the world that you can direct your time and energy to then not liking someone’s portrayal.

We, as a community, need to come together and support one another. It is utterly abhorrent to send people hate for disliking how they write their muse. Take that energy and use it to speak out against things that actually matter and are problematic in the RPC, rather than deciding that you simply do not like someone’s portrayal. If they are not doing anything problematic then what is the issue? You simply don’t like it. Well, guess what. Not liking someone’s portrayal is NOT AN INVITATION TO SEND HATE.

Guess what, unless explicitly stated in canon, we have NO WAY of knowing a character’s gender identity or sexual orientation. You see your favorite character as asexual? Straight? Transgender? Gay? Bisexual? Non-binary? Pansexual? Cool! That is great because you are totally allowed to! What you are not allowed to do is send someone hate for having a different opinion and interpretation than you!

PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE AND SEND A MESSAGE. YOU NEVER KNOW HOW YOUR WORDS MIGHT AFFECT SOMEONE.

IT IS 2020 STOP SENDING ANON HATE! STOP SPREADING HATE! SPREAD LOVE & POSITIVITY!
