Jax being afraid of corn 🌽 could be a reference to the short story, “It’s a Good Life”. A story about a town being bent to the whims of a young boy.

There was an episode of the Twilight Zone that covered the same story. We know that Jax knows TV and media very well.

Maybe he saw that episode or read the short story online somewhere before finding the circus.

In the story, the cornfield in the town is where people and things Anthony (The child) doesn’t like are sent and never seen again.

Caine, in this scenario, is Anthony. Caine sends the characters to the basement when they abstract. Essentially making his own cornfield.

Jax is at the whims of Caine or the circus itself. He’s well aware now more than ever due to the whole vegan thing.

He’s scared of corn because he knows it all ends with abstraction and the basement when he’s no longer needed. To Jax, corn represents death and eternal hell.

That, or maybe he got lost in a corn maze once.

Did Willam Afton kidnap David? Would the time line match up for that possibility?

Edwin never mentions a death, the game just says “He’s gone” or “it’s a tragedy” There’s also that weird motivation that M1 had to let David out of the playground in the first place.

Maybe while Afton was messaging Murray employees he got in contact with M1 and they came up with the plan together to take David away to motivate Edwin to finish M2 so that M1 could have her robot kid and Afton got his mimic.

The apparition of the tiger in SOTM could just be Edwin’s own agony or the trauma David got from that day.

Later on, we know Afton moves into the Murray home later with his family maybe to bridge a gap in David’s memory so he’s never caught. Afton kidnaps a lot in other fnaf works but he hasn’t been shown to do that in the games yet.

Can someone explain how David died in this game? Edwin talks about the unsafe playground in the audio logs but I feel like if he died on that there’d be some kind of work safety violation and child endangerment scandal but those are never mentioned. I’m kinda dumb did I miss anything?

Wild theory but I think Kris is Chara from A Undertale Genocide ending. Kris is said to have tried to summon a demon in their past and Chara says a lot of weird route demon like things at the end of genocide. Maybe Deltarune is the next world Chara was summoned to and possessed or fused with actual Kris. We know Kris did something related to murder or at least violence in their past so maybe Chara tried to kill more but was stopped pretty fast because they didn’t have the Angel’s determination anymore to repeat time. They were then sent to therapy because that’s where you put a small mentally unwell child.

In Undertale’s other routes, Chara was just a chill ghost narrator so maybe they just needed to talk to someone in the end. That’s why Kris hates the soul cause they just got freed from an all knowing god and then the god came back and might ruin their life again.

Kinda related but with Grillby’s obviously looking like Grillby’s maybe Sans actually did survive his encounter with Chara/Frisk and went to Grillby’s like he said. It’s implied that Sans and Papyrus aren’t even from the Undertale world so maybe Sans is following the Angel and just made Grillbys his new parallel world Machine either for Gastor or for revenge or both. We haven’t seen Papyrus yet, why is that?

THIS IS THE EXACT BUILDING, HE WANTED US TO KNOW IT’S HIM.

And now he knows it’s us and “befriended” our mom to mess with us. (He probably genuinely likes Toriel, messing with the player and Kris is just bonus)

So now Kris has two things to deal with.

I believe that every ending of Undertale is cannon simultaneously. Toby is choosing to continue Chara’s story in Deltarune’s world.

There’s a way Asriel and maybe Dess fit into this theory but it’s complicated and too long for this post.
