shadow milk and pure vanilla are so perfect for eachother it's not even funny. i don't care how they end up but god i NEED THEM to have a relationship where they can interact atleast neutrally

shadow milk believes cookiekind is inherently evil. pure vanilla believes cookiekind is inherently good. They are both exceptions to this rule. Shadow Milk is always GOOD and JUSTIFIED, because Cookiekind is always BAD. Pure Vanilla is always BAD and LESSER, because Cookiekind is always GOOD.

Shadow Milk bases his identity off of revenge. Pure Vanilla bases his identity off of compassion. Shadow Milk is always going to be VIOLENT because he is nothing without it. Pure Vanilla is always going to be SELF SACRIFICING, because he is nothing without it.

They are the only solution to eachother. These character flaws can only be changed when confronted with the direct opposing view and given the space to look outside their perspective- something Pure Vanilla can certainly do, and Shadow Milk can.. theoretically do.

I’ve seen a lot people thinking Shadow milk corrupted the other beasts, and I get he’s the main beast and rn the main villain, but still this theory doesn’t really make any sense.

Firstly because there’s very little evidence he was the one corrupting them, but more importantly each beast corrupted because of what they’ve endured as their former virtues for ages, not something that happened one time, so making smc the big villain who corrupted them is just ignoring a big part of their character and making the others more boring by reducing them to "they only corrupted because shadow milk messed up with them"

We even see their breaking point in the story, and shadow milk wasn’t even there, and even if he was the one who would’ve caused it, It wouldn’t be entirely his fault. Like I said before, they didn’t corrupt because of something that happened one time, but all the responsibilities and burden they’ve handled alone, so shadow milk or not, they were bound to eventually reach a breaking point and corrupt.

So yea in the end it doesn’t even matter, there wasn’t a bigger villain that corrupted all the others. Even in ep 11 it’s explained that all the corrupted virtues are linked and affected each other (like burning spice growing apathetic of everything because of the never changing cycle, which led him to destruction, or the greedy cookies spreading deceit and destruction to get what they want, which led mystic flour to apathy.)

The “Shadow Milk corrupted the other Beasts” bullshit that the fandom pushes so hard is so frustrating because not only is it false, but it only exists to further villainize Shadow Milk for shit he doesn’t do, instead of the blatant horrors that he does do. (the fandom would rather belive that the Beasts are victims to him than his own fucking kids) 

Neither of them caused each other's corruption however It was the lack of solidarity between them that contributed to it. People really want to push all the blame on Silent Salt or ShadowMilk, but all of the beasts are victims of the same fucked up nature.

Devsisters is currently at risk of going bankrupt.

Whether or not you liked the latest stories, I truly believe that no stories at all would be so much worse. There is so much of this franchise we have yet to see and I would hate to even risk losing it.

As far as I'm aware, the most we as fans can do is spread information. I'm unsure how to help devsisters directly, though I have heard you can email them or make your own posts about ideas of how to better their company and just hope they'll listen.

Some ideas I've seen people come up with are things like better optimisation, more focus on side characters, and more focus on pre-existing games rather than crumble or new world, as well as having more time between updates rather than an update a month.

Feel free to add anything or correct me if I got any information wrong. There's a video by HyperHimes that explains things, and I know a lot of other big cookie run youtubers have talked about it too.

Please reblog, it's truly the least you can do but it's so much better than doing nothing. One thing we as a fandom can agree on is that we care about this franchise. We're all fans for a reason.
