K/Fifi, she/her, 32, I was on tumblr from 2011-2018 under the names skai-high, homoscarfiens, and monarch-nabi (fairly sure that was the order), and was pretty active in the kpop fandoms. I still enjoy kpop but I'm not as involved with it as I used to be.

Current interests include star trek, foraging, acting and film, woodworking, food, witchcraft, and the occult in general, though mostly I'm here for cute and funny animal videos, star trek, and shitposting.

I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?

it's one thing to know how much working class people get gouged left and right, it's another to see the math right in front of you. we've had to run the AC a lot more than usual this summer and it's only the beginning of hot weather in tennessee. but due to a series of coincidences and fortuitous timing, for once i am living in a properly insulated house, and not whatever apartment complex within twenty miles of my job is the cheapest. so my electric bill was.... $68.

You should take some time to read @3liza's post documenting the Phantom Report Bug (which she deserves praise for doing, thank you eliza) and see how fucking broken Tumblr's report tool is. I also want to reiterate something she is once again correct about: no one files bug reports. I have first hand experience working at Tumblr and I remember having to tell web devs on Staff "i saw a post about someone talking about a bug" and they were unaware because no one followed through to file a bug. I have fixed bugs that I saw people posting about that were in my domain (I'm a mobile dev) but were not in the system. No this is not an endorsement of "complain about it enough and eventually someone will see it", this is an endorsement of "file a bug report directly to computer companies and people will most likely read it and probably fix it". I mean it this is not a Tumblr-only thing. I've seen this at every company I've worked for. Just fucking file a bug report please I beg you, software gets complicated and the devs are just unaware that there's a bug until you bring it to your attention. And they want to fix the bug! I promise!
