Write your “in case of emergency” in permanent marker on your body. Also any bail fund/pro bono lawyer.

There are reportedly 300 troops on the ground in LA as of this morning. I would assume the number to be higher than what’s reported. Trump signed a memorandum to deploy 2000 troops. The border czar is threatening to arrest elected California officials if they “impede ICE”.

Compton was attacked by ICE agents last night and the community showed up.

that's a shotgun shell. It is fired from a shotgun. The cloth is kevlar. Inside the kevlar are... the same lead pellets that a normal shotgun uses. The kevlar sack prevents spread and penetration. The beanbag round has less gunpowder than a standard shotgun round, but still sends this projectile forward at about 180 miles per hour.

They love to say "rubber bullets" and "beanbags" because they sound harmless, but they are not harmless at all. Beanbag rounds like this have caused injury, permanent disability, and death.

These are pepper balls:

They’re basically paintball pellets that come apart on impact releasing a cloud of capsaicin powder, like pepper spray. They come in varying intensities of spiciness, and can also have marking ink. I’ve seen officers use them on protesters who are trying to kick smoke/gas cans back at the officers.

LAPD are also primarily using 40mm foam projectiles that look like this, rather than the rubber bullets displayed above.

You’ll see lots of those little blue balls in the streets and being displayed by reporters. The use of these foam rounds by the LAPD is controversial and they are not widely used by other large police departments. (They are also used by LASD.)

Instead of being in settings its in the google app. Also, google, not chrome. Icon is a G, not the circle thing. Click on your pfp to open a menu

From there, go Settings > Gemini > Digital Assistants > Switch to Google Assistant. This disables Gemini, google's AI assistant, and switches you back to the old one. We aren't done yet.

Go back to Settings. From there, we go Settings > Google Assistant > scroll to find General > Google Assitant on/off > turn it off

They really tried their best to make it a pain, but you can eventually disable it. Holding the power button on your phone still pulls up a menu and asks you to turn it back on, but this is the least intrusive you can make it.

Applies to all non-apple phones afaik. For sure Samsungs and Pixels but idrk about others
