She seemed different indeed, but so did these two ( well, maybe not Jona ). Lucky was happy to receive affection as Ashe stood there, some distinctive scars here and there that looked fresh. “Alu… Jona…–” She pauses and offers a smile – one that seemed stronger then the last time. “It’s good to see you both. I, um… I’m sorry I disappeared so suddenly. Something came up, and, well–” She gives pause as a pair of Hisui Growlithe run past her and she can only clear her throat.

“… Well, a lot of things happened, but…”

      Alu only really noticed the cuts and scars once he got closer, and against his better judgement he immediately spoke out.

   “The fuck happened?? You look like you got run over by a mow Rotom!” To which, Jona gave him a gentle little nudge and whispered to not be rude- not that it had ever stopped the energetic little trainer before.

       Jona on the other hand, tried to respect the woman’s space and personal happenings as he focused on the two Growlithe that came into view. Kneeling down to get a better view and hold his hand out to them, “It’s been awhile- sorry, things have been a little busy,” And by busy, he meant that Alu was having some health issues that kept them away from work and friends. Things that only seemed to get worse as the kid aged.

It had been only a few weeks since she and Mochi had returned to the present day, but she was surviving. While taking the time to take out her frustrations in combat on occasion, she spent more time helping Mirage, her Absol, who was determined to step foot into the team again. Despite that, however, Ashe often found herself trying to understand the new Hisui pokemon she brought back with her – and not just Vision and Whisper, but several Growlithe, Basculegion, and the like now roamed the ranch.

Today, however, the attention went straight to a particular Eevee who was being mischievous and trying to wake his trainer up with paws to the face, eagerly crying ‘Ee!’ or ‘Vee!’. Waking up from her nap on the couch, she groans. “Lucky? Seriously? What is it?”

With that, the Eevee was racing off and Ashe getting up to grab a coat before trudging after him through the snow outside where excitedly he was jumping at the sight of a figure approaching, or was that two?

       Alu was the first to come through, all bundled up and slightly weak from the treatment he had just a couple days ago. It showed on his face, bags under his eyes and an almost sickly look to the skin, but nonetheless he was trying to be that beaming ray of sunshine he tried to be.

   “ASHE we have ARRIVED!”

       And following him was Jona, just in his lab coat as if the cold didn’t seem to bother him. Trying to hush Alu and remind his younger brother that Ashe probably wasn’t up to the high energy he usually projected. Regardless, he gave his own gentle greeting.

   “Hope you’ve been well- uh,” Noticing immediately that things just seemed different about her, a fact that went over Alu’s head as the kid kneeled down to pet the little Eevee who eagerly pranced over to them. Still high energy as ever.

The Goodra doesn’t attack back, its too slow to attack this time around!

       Lucario took it’s chance when the Goodra had a slow moment, striking quickly with a powerful attack.

Lucario used Dragon Pulse!

Landing a hit that could have been more direct, but still connecting regardless. It appeared to do quite a bit of damage despite being slightly off center.

What had come to happen was she’s forgotten that her companion could become energetic. A tad withdrawn from the excitement they radiated she still smiles earnestly happy they were in a good mood. Fingers tap along her bag in rhythm to let out some anxious energy, “yes..I think they have a little of everything.” 

Presh takes a deep breath before lightly bumping into the other lightly. “Hey can we take a short break? I need to take some medicine.”

       Alu had frozen for a moment as he realized that he had become a bit too energetic, forgetting in the moment how anxious Presh could get and how lots of high energy often times wasn’t helpful.

   “Oh- right, sorry, you need some water?” Pulling out an unopened bottle from his bag and handing it to her, “Y’know, maybe I need to get somethin’ that’ll help me calm the fuck down sometimes. Do they have stuff for that?” He pondered it before getting himself distracted on another thought, “Hey, what kind of battle teams do you think people in Kalos usually have??”

The Skitty in question waved a paw at the man, letting out a huff. ❝ I know I’m small but not THAT small. ❞ He was completely messing with the guy now. He knew the whole talking Skitty thing would throw off most people. It never got old seeing people get so surprised.

❝ I wonder if they make those cool punk vests like that in pink! I think I could pull off the look! ❞

       At this point, Alu figured he was dreaming or something akin. Shaking his head a little as if that would somehow get rid of the talking Skitty. Maybe he should just go along with it...

   “I mean, if they don’t, you can always get a white one and dye it. I always liked doin’ that more anyway, makes it more personal n’ you get more control over the shade.”

       Following the other with a soft smile on his face, Mothy spoke up,        “It’s no problem, really. I love a chance to see how someone else battles. The cost of a single lunch is more than worth the reward!” Ornstein follows him closely sticking to his trainers heel as he goes, at this point making an effort to outright ignore the other Luxray. Chuckling, Mothy reaches down and pats his head as they walk. “And it looks like Ornstein is excited as well.”

    “I like the way ya think! Always good to learn how other people battle, says a lot about a person, y’know?” 

       Teapot had followed the other Luxray’s lead, pretending to ignore it while holding it’s head high and proud. Something the stubborn thing did often, always having a sort of stand off with other Pokémon.

   “So, you gonna battle with this cutie or someone else? I know Teapot’s been itching for a battle since we got out of our last one... kind of a battle hog if I’m honest.”

She gently pets the Shinx’s head and sips at the Boba Tea one more time before sighing deeply. “… Unfortunately that’s gonna happen for a while, Jona. Feeling like you were stabbed in the back and then having to deal with the aftermath in a therapy sense that only your Mother can bring out in a way you hate, also known as violence will do that to a person.” By now, Jona no doubt knew what Alu knew – she wasn’t entirely human and she had been training to fight, and her eyes even glowed at times. Weird, but hey, it was a part of her now.

       Jona wasn’t quite sure what to say, he had never been good at these kinds of things... which is why he brought Teacup, the little Pokémon was far better at being emotionally healing than he was with the way it seemed to respond to emotional distress.

   “I don’t really know how to help you, I’m not really the best person to know what to say. But I do know that you’ll be fine. Not today, probably not tomorrow, but one day you will be. Time’s on your side. In the meantime, maybe putting yourself to work will help, just try and distract ya from it all,” That was what he did anyway, perhaps to an unhealthy level. Avoiding all his negative emotions by burying himself in his work to where there was simply no time to feel them.

It wasn’t so bad to ask them to travel together as it helps get comfortable with people again. Presh had silently felt bad for leaning on a friend especially a newly made one too much, although Alu seemed fine. “I’ve kind of missed Kalos. Their food is pretty nice if I remember correctly they have some treats that’re pretty good.”

A glance to her shadow is made checking on Venom though saw no real sign of much change. Being around too many crowds was annoying however she’d just stick close to the friend and ignore others. The time was checked mindlessly reminding herself to take some medicine soon to help.

       Alu was buzzing, he hadn’t ever been to Kalos before, and he was more than curious. The people, the food, the culture- it was all a mystery and something he was eager to learn about. Perhaps a bit too eager, as he seemed to forget how over excited he could easily get.

   “What kind of food? Do they have a lot of sweets? Teapot loves sweet things, also spicy things. Maybe they have something that’s both!? I can’t wait,” He was so distracted by his excitement he failed to notice the slight nervous edge that Presh had, otherwise he would have done his best to tone it down some.

Happy New Years everyone!!

I’m finally ending my hiatus and will be getting to replies hopefully sometime today! Sorry for just dropping off the face of the Earth for a few months, I started working with a friend of mine and things just got busier than I expected and I couldn’t keep up with multiple things ;;

Just wanted to pop by and wish everyone happy holidays!! I plan on returning after new years once commission season ends. It’s just been so hectic and busy I haven’t had the time to be here, but I definitely miss y’all and can’t wait to kick this back into gear again <3

I’m probably not gonna be active here for a hot minute while I set up a blog for our Pokemon AU cowboys. It’s empty af right now and still needs a lot of information/art- but I have it up for the few of you who might be interested (Feel free to message it if you want to plot a thread, I have (most) the basic muse information on there)

On that account I will be following some of my mutuals who I enjoy seeing on my dash and want to see the content of, but there’s no obligation to follow back or interact with if they don’t seem like your kind of muses. Since I’m going to be hopping between the two blogs I just want to be able to see stuff from certain people regardless of whichever blog I’m on.

To test the waters she hooks her arm around Alu's while they walked. In a way she was afraid her acts of friendship would be rejected; but that was the minds lies. "So how about we get you some training in? I think there are tons of people in the city you can challenge." Plus she liked to watch anyways.

Alu was more than welcoming of the slight physical contact, moving his arm to better accommodate the other.

"You think?? I haven't had a good battle in awhile... Teapot's gonna get lazy if I don't get him active soon- he's even gettin' a little pudgy," Looking over to his Luxray, who, in all honesty, had always been a little overweight due to how much Alu fed it.
