Some awesome discord friends of mine decided to do June writing prompts and since I have not been writing for ages, I am very thankful they got me inspired again š
āItās almost like a fairy tale.ā Zoro stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder at that damned woman. āWhat?ā āThe woods⦠They look like those in fairy tales.ā With one last look Zoro set himself back into motion. Fairy tales⦠seriously? Out of all the people Zoro could get lost with⦠it had to be HER. Captain Glasses⦠just his luck to run into her, being chased by her and getting lost with her. In freaking woods⦠reminding her of fairy tales. At first⦠when they realized they got lost they had the biggest fight, of course. Until Captain Foureyes got attacked by some kind of mosquito and she almost threw herself at him in her panic. Being the clumsy woman she was, they tumbled further into the woods and down some kind of small hill and got lost even more. Which resulted in her profusely apologizing and him just turning around and storming off. Shortly being followed by the marine. They walked in complete silence. Until now. āDid your parents read you fairy tales?ā The fu⦠was wrong with this woman? He didnāt even bother to answer her. What a stupid question. āMy dad used to read me fairy tales untilā¦ā her voice trailed off and Zoro couldnāt help but to look at her. Her eyes had glossed over and she seemed to stare into nothingness, which was weird and quite concerning, even if Zoro would never admit that out loud. Tashigi shook her head and focused back on him, a small smile played at her lips, something Zoro had only seen once before. Back in Loguetown before she knew who he was. āAnyway⦠my dad used to read them for me. They were all about princesses and princes, dragons and fairies. They are ridiculous, I know that now but as a kid⦠I loved them. And the time I got to spend with my dad.ā She looked at him, still smiling and Zoro got the urge to say something. āThat⦠sounds nice.ā The marine in front of him laughed. Laughed?! āIt was. The woods in those stories were always described as quiet, apart from the chirping of birds and the occasional rustling in the bushes caused by bunnies or deer. The light was always a bit hazy, almost romantic, and the protagonists always seemed to wander through the forest, somewhat lost. Just like here. Just like us.ā Zoro cracked a smile and shook his head. āTashigi? You really are somethingā¦ā
