i really think i have a problem bc i keep listening to podcasts(they’re excellent, that’s not the issue)

but i’m getting through them at an untenable pace…. because i’m listening at 2x speed (i’ve actually gone up to 2.5 this week)

it took me a week to catch up to present day WBN (it’s truly phenomenal, book one killed me and i’m going to subscribe to the patreon at some point, bc i genuinely love the show)

i listened to all of bitcherton this afternoon (pretty fun!!!)

i feel bad on one hand (bc im devouring media) but tbh im still having a good time, so i probably won’t stop

(i still have a long list of podcasts so i’m not worried, but all the same)

kristen being the chaotic funny one breaks my heart. ‘cause what happens when she no longer wants to be the funny one? her always making herself the butt of the joke before anyone else can. but something inside always stings inside because being the funny one is so fucking tiring and she just wants to let it all down and cry sometimes

#oh god yeah #kristen standing to the side at the shrimp jump #watching fig perform some version of her #kristen has to be so responsible all the time #and she’s not able to rest #in some ways the whole ‘chaos isn’t cute thing’ makes so much sense for kristen #because she’s in turmoil and or limbo #and she’s tasting freedoms for the first time #how do you go from structure and expectation to doubt and unconditional love #what do you leave behind and what can come with you #the most important thing for kristen’s upbringing was her disposition #we literally see her influence on the adults around her #having to convince them to allow her to try the world #how can you respond to that #and then she’s 14 and she’s died and she will die again #she has these great responsibilities and convictions #i think being funny is easier socially for everyone else #so she keeps doing it #but it’s like throwing a blanket over a giant pile of rubbish #you can still see the lumps #you know there’s something there but socially it can be ignored #kristen always seeks to be the convinient child #which is absolutely not her job but is there any wonder why/ how she gets there #i needed to listen to ‘i don’t want to be funny anymore’ and cry about kristen after this post #dimension 20 #d20 fantasy high #kristen applebees #the girlie of all time
