Post-Cybertron, setting that Cybertron is the direct sequel to Armada and Energon. The former Decepticon SIC returned to Kaon and made peace with the Autobots. Bearing the suspect of his former enemies, misunderstandings of his own kind, and his weakened small frame with severe sequelae, he strived for rebuilding a prosperous planet together with the new leader of Cybertron, with whom he developed a belated relationship. Meanwhile, he was chased by the worst of his past and an even larger conspiracy behind it.

MERRY NOT CHRISTMAS! 

Welcome to the SkyStar Secret Santa Fic/Art Exchange 2020! After seeing just how popular @skystarweek​ was, we (@justawayninja​ and @tackytacs​) thought it would be a great idea to do a Skystar-themed Secret Santa gift exchange to celebrate the wintry season of Skystar! *throws confetti*

Dates:

Deadline for event sign-up: Tuesday 20th October

Secret Santa assignment: Sunday 25th October

Gift completion deadline: Sunday 13th December (to confirm all works are complete/appropriate)

Gift exchange/work upload date: Sunday 20th December - Friday 25th December. (All gifts should be posted by December 25th!)

NOTE: If you feel unable to fill the prompts you have been given, then please DM or email us no later than Sunday 1st November to let us know so we might be able to find a replacement. 

Rules for sign-up/prompts:

This is an 18+ ONLY event, as we will be allowing people to request NSFW content. You confirm that you are 18 years or over by filling in the attached questionnaire. 

Fill out the questionnaire below. We’ll need either your Tumblr blog name, twitter username, or email so we can contact you with details of your assignment.

Please provide minimum 3 prompts. The more prompts you provide though, the easier it will be for your Secret Santa to fill them! 

In your prompts:

Continuity-wise, please include at least ONE G1-inspired prompt, and warnings wise at least ONE ‘general, trigger-free’ prompt. You can combine these 2 requirements into one prompt. This is just to cover our bases and make sure everyone will be able to fill something.

Specify a canon continuity or specific AU  (e.g. Angel!Skyfire + Demon!Starscream AU).

Specify any potential warnings (e.g. NSFW, triggers etc.) 

Although this is a Christmas event, prompts do NOT have to be Christmas themed! You can request whatever antics, fluff, angst, humour, etc. you’d like to see Skystar get up to!

Rules for filling prompts:

Fics must be AT LEAST 1000 words, and art must be lined and coloured.

You MUST fill at least one prompt. But you CAN fill multiple prompts for your giftee if you wish!

Please let us know if you will be willing to double-up and fill in the prompts for anyone who decides to drop out. Hopefully no one will, but it will be a big help to know just in case anything happens!

In case your giftee drops out of the event because they can’t fill out the prompts they’ve been given, you can either: 

a) Continue working on the original prompts from your giftee

b) You can choose to fill in the prompts for the person your giftee was originally supposed to be writing/drawing for. 

c) If you’re amazing, do both! (That way, hopefully no one will be left without a gift!)

Will Siegefire fics be rejected from the Ao3 collection?

I would say… despite the fact I am probably one of the last people who’d say they’re a fan of Siege I’ve still generally wanted this Week to be fun and inclusive of all TF continuities.

Basically, I think my stance would be: I wanted SkyStar Week to be a fun celebration of the pairing, so I doubt I would add any stories to the collection that dealt with Siegefire ‘realistically’ (aka, as how he is in canon as someone who clearly hates Starscream and smacks him around). If it was a story that dealt with those themes rather than them actually being a pairing I probably wouldn’t add them to the collection.

However, if those are themes you’d be interested in exploring in a story or want to write you can absolutely do that. I would just need to read and check it first before I would approve it to the collection.

Generally, I have tried to read every fic approved before adding it to the SkyStar Week collection (there have been a lot of fics so some I have only been able to skim through). So either way I’d still check it before adding it. Whatever you write might be fine to add.

But unfortunately having an influx of dark, obviously trolling and upsetting fics was one of the things that helped prompt SkyStar Week into action in the first place, and the reason I ended up setting the collection to be moderated versus allowing anyone to add what they wanted. So if I felt the story was too in tone with those fics I would not accept it.

I hope this does not sound too offputting. If you want to write a Siegefire fic you can. I will just make sure to check it first.

It is so good to know that one of the motivations of the SkyStar Week is to set an opposition to the  “influx of dark, obviously trolling and upsetting fics”. 

Especially after The Siege was aired (I meant not to say that the Original Post specially referred to that). I for the first time wish I could block some authors in AO3 who made Siegefire just another tyrant bullying and torturing Starscream. Also I think Siegefire like that is strongly out of character, even he indeed is portrayed differently from the previous TF continuities. 

I actually like the character of Siegefire, strong and fighting more determinedly. I as well love Jetfire’s general character as the tender sceintist full of humanistic spirit. I also have read good Siege Skystar fics imagining they had been past friends/ lovers but were changed by the war, overwhelmed by mixed love-hate feelings.

A last minute rush for SkyStar Week 2020 Day 7 “Free Prompt”, translation of my own fic. 

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Transformers - All Media Types, Transformers Generation One Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: Graphic Depictions Of Violence Relationships: Skyfire/Starscream (Transformers) Characters: Skyfire (Transformers), Starscream (Transformers)

Summary: All that mattered was that they were alive and leaning on each other, as they had done on those warm afternoons millennia years ago, sitting between instruments, test tubes and datapads lit up by the main star.

@dorksidefiker​ @grayseeker​ There is a collection on AO3 you can submit to: SkyStar Week 2020. But I suppose also making the tag ‘SkyStar Week 2020′ will also be fitting.

I was going to leave the collection unmoderated and then just filter out any inappropriate fics but just thanks to the influx of troll fics it’s now moderated and I’ll be approving any fics submitted (but so long as they’re definitely not trolls or mean-spirited I will be accepting them).
