The OA is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen… and I’ve seen a lot! So, this is a very cool character called BBA. I love her so much, she is so interesting and I love her story! It was kind of unexpected to me that she joined the group of people learning about OA’s history and the 5 movements… but that’s what I admire about this show. All the characters are so different from each other but equally interesting and you get the feeling of wanting to know more about them. And together, they make a great team bc they’ve all been through difficult stuff in their lives and can understand each other ❤

to elaborate: bunnies are prey animals and almost never have their guard down– even when they’re resting they’ll usually have their back legs in a position that allows them to quickly run away. if they’re jumping around it means they’re extremely happy!! and if they flop down w/o a care that means they feel very very comfortable and safe to the point of not having to worry about their surroundings. ^__^

Okay, no one has brought this up (that I know of), but why the fuck does Homer have a gaping, bleeding wound in his side at the start of episode 6? It’s the scene where OA explains how they practiced the third and fourth movements and wrote them on their backs (also NEVER explained how this happened, but we know something about copper wire from Elias)… Why does he have a cut on his side? Are they using the blood or is he hiding an instrument in there to use to heat and scar their backs?

I mean, this is where it all starts to fall apart. Because right after that scene is the scene where Hap murders his colleague at the hospital… like, how does Prairie know this? I’ve made a theory about it being part of her psychic abilities and being “present the whole time”, but now I wonder. DID she fabricate some of this? And why didn’t the kids ask? Are these details WE are seeing, but the family isn’t? Oh my god…

I thought it was that they used a copper tool to carve the engravings. I’m not sure if the word ‘burns’ was used (I’d have to rewatch it) but his wounds are shown at the same time that OAs scars are shown, so I assume that they’re linked. It was definitely brought up when she was talking to the therapist

i think scott lost his mum. he has a tattoo that says “mama” on his arm and i doubt that he would get this tattoo if she was alive because it generally seems more like a thing you’d do when someone close to you dies. also, when they are writing the letter with homer’s football ring and homer asks scott what he wants to say in the letter he quite bitterly states how he has no one he wants to contact in the outside world, so if he was close enough with her to get “mama” tattooed then she would be someone to contact if she was alive.

this would also mean there is another parallel between him and jesse.

OK so I'm re-watching the series for the second time this week and I'm just now realizing that when French finds all of those books in Prairie's room it may be for the classes (creative writing?) that she is taking online. she is speaking to Abel in the garden about this just before saying she's woozy from her meds on an empty tummy.

Yeah it could be!!! That makes sense. If she’s gonna do a creative writing course, she had to have learned to read, right? I don’t think the books were planted tbh, I think it’s completely possible that she could have bought them herself

I’m sure most of the fandom is curious about what the Braille on Khatuns face says so I tried to translate it. At first I tried English Braille but I didn’t get anything. Then I remembered she speaks Arabic in the beginning of the scene so I tried Arabic Braille instead.

On her forehead it says “father of”. I couldn’t make out the word next to it. It could be referencing OAs father, or could be a Christian reference. The show talks about angels a lot so it’s likely it could be referring to God.

On her cheek I made out “see him” and “fatherless”. This could be a slightly dodgy translation since I don’t read Arabic or Braille but on their own the words seem to make sense. “See him” could be about OA seeing her father through the window of the hut. And “fatherless” could be about how she’s been fatherless from a young age. Also could be about how OA makes the decision to leave her father to help the others.
