That’s all I see when people rant and rave about the tag. You’ve already decided that you’ll never agree and you sure as hell won’t ever understand so quit wasting ya time and energy looking/typing/crying about it.
There are several reasons that people are so involved in researching, thinking, and talking about Columbine. And guess what? Not in just one narrow minded way. ambiguity. There are plenty of versatile aspects that capture our attention. People are interested/have questions/attraction/empathy/and a bottomless pit of intrigue for everything that happened. Some are intoxicated with Eric’s madness, & the little vodkas w/ Dylan’s sadness. There are SEVERAL reasons that are truly inconceivable to you because you only see from behind a computer screen. and it IS possible to have very complicated, very mixed feelings that can not be articulated into words or explained. &IQ: “People think words apply to everything when they don’t/can’t”.
A major point I want to make is that the majority of people don’t do all of these obsessive things BC they killed. & please don’t just assume they do like the other 3,000 people in their bigoted anon ways pinpointing and pigeonholing. Nobody said that every move we make when talking/thinking/dabbling in the evidence is innocent. But is everything you do in your day to day life innocent?….? Like some of the things Eric & Dylan had to say.. They were hateful af and negative, but goddamnit they hit the nail on the head and some of us can relate. It’s life. & Life is full of ‘sin’. Some of their personal thoughts are familiar to our own, so of course meddle deeper. I know that I don’t agree with everything they said or did. & if I was at Columbine that day & had the chance to blow their asses away with a shotgun to stop them in their tracks I would. None of those kids deserved to die. We are focused on the people that they were before April 20. Or at least I know that’s what I’m concentrating on atm. & I believe in having contradictory opinions about Columbine. That goes for everything though. There is no SET way for anyone to look at something or feel about something and there are many different factors that come into the mix to show for a final “viewpoint”.
Like the shrine picture per se, haha are you fucking kidding me? Like I was going to pass up that opportunity when I had a flashback of Helga’s Hey Arnold shrine. I would make an Erik Knudsen, KG shrine any day. Take what people say/do/mindlessly craft on the internet with a grain of salt bc let’s not forget that we’re within the tumblrsphere and people do obsessive crafts about the object of their attention. EH, DK, & Columbine are the objects of our attention.
