See what’s funny is these women brag about how they make thousands of dollars a month ago when people said sex work isn’t real work, now suddenly people are like fine it’s real, pay ur taxes, it’s suddenly WE MAKE SOOO LITTLE MONEY 🤔
You don’t get a paycheck that’s a guaranteed amount. Those “thousands of dollars” go towards bills, student loans, supporting other people in your household, etc just like everyone else. Not to mention, do you really think SW’s wake up looking the way that they do? Hair, nails, makeup, clothing, production equipment (if you’re a content creator), medical care (if you get hurt as a dancer there’s no workman’s comp, if you need STD testing for SW not all medical insurances cover that) these all add up very quickly. Granted, if it was deemed a legitimate business by the government, you could use those expenses as a tax write off (yes, I’m aware that camming and dancing is considered legitimate. Been there, done that). That doesn’t change the fact that SW are being dragged through the mud and maliciously reported to the IRS by people who are judgmental and slimy. Do you report your weed man to the police? I think not.
Not only do your looks play into whether or not you make money, but the entirety of your outward image dictates that. You gotta FLEX to make money. Clients do. not. want. want a SW who isn’t successful, because that’s seen as undesirable. So yeah, SW’s don’t always make thousands and thousands, because it’s an inconsistent business, but they’re not gonna tell your crusty ass that. And a lot of the times, your take home money is disappointing in comparison to what you need to survive and to keep doing your job well. Hats off to those who do in fact make bank all the time! Work should be rewarding in that sense.
The idea that SW’s want their job to be seen as legitimate stems from the fact that you people consume, consume, consume the content and services that SW’s provide…but then you turn around and shame us for it with derogatory language and ostracize us from your personal circle/society/etc because YOU deem it as gross, unacceptable, or an improper way of earning a living. Who are you to determine how someone makes a living? Who are you to shame someone for that?
I personally find pencil pushing, office workers to be disgusting in the sense that they are just another cog in the machine, following a plastic plan that has been laid before them and deemed “acceptable” by society. But you don’t see me shitting all over your lifestyle and career choices, unless you shit on mine or anyone else in our industry.
No one should have to pay taxes on a job where you’re the boss, marketing team, employee all wrapped into one. In fact, no one should be paying taxes unless it’s voluntary, but that’s a matter of opinion and whole different subject to get into.
All I’m saying is: mind your damn business and keep your nose out of an industry that you’re not a part of. Let people make their money and stay in your goddamned lane.
Useless word salads just to say to put a price and demand (that cannot be met with enough willing women so hm imported sex slavery via ‘migration’) on women’s bodies as a mass consumer product as if that’s no different than being a “cog in a machine”.
Why are white women like that
Maybe if you can’t make enough stable money degrading yourself for villainous patriarchy you should find a better job? You aren’t special for needing to pay taxes, we all do.
@ kitty-peach Very intellectual response. thank you for the input. Sex workers are not the same as victims of sex trafficking. I was giving an example of an opinion that many people have in regards to a “traditional and acceptable” means of getting an income. That’s my form of degrading verbiage that I like to use, just like the types of degrading verbiage most others use to describe sex work.
@ war-wave no not really, more like, stating an opinion for those willing to read it, because that’s what tumblr and other forms of social media are for. Degrading someone’s opinion based on their race and length of their response is also very intellectual. I write so much because I like to fully explain my point rather than using whatever you call that picture as a response, and because I can.
@kuudereheavycruiser SW’s who are involved in the conversation/discourse whatever you want to call it typically do not find their job to be degrading. They find it to be empowering and a viable source of income. The issue isn’t whether or not you’re making enough money to live. Any imbecile would know to switch jobs or careers if it is not a sustainable source of income, or supplement it. The issue is the fact that people find it necessary to put their nose where it doesn’t belong for their own sense of fulfillment and feeling high and mighty over the other. SW’s are people too. We have a voice and opinion just like you do.
Oh, and since most forms of sex work are illegal or not recognized as a “real” job by government agencies, they don’t technically need to pay taxes. Most payments can and will be written off as a gift. In other words: non-taxable forms of income.
And if you’re wondering why in the hell I even bother entertaining your responses, I’ve got all night to go back and forth. I quite enjoy it since I’m using my downtime for at least something entertaining, and I know that you do as well.
“Stop reporting us for doing something illegal!!! It’s okay because it’s illegal!”
@kuudereheavycruiser Not all forms of sex work are illegal. They’re not recognized as a job that the government can actively collect taxes from. These incels are going around maliciously targeting SW’s who advertise via internet for their own personal gain. Which is whatever, do what you want but the fact of the matter is, why should you care how someone is making their money? They’re not harming other people, as the transaction is 100% consensual. Just like it’s a consensual transaction when someone purchases porn through a production company or a similar outlet. Except in this case it’s more personal because of the “live” or “real-time” aspect of it.
So what’s the difference to you whether it’s “illegal” or not? How many corporate companies get massive tax breaks and are on public record skirting massive amounts of taxes by simply falsifying their financial records? Isn’t that illegal? Why not report them instead of people just trying to make a buck?
