Talking Dragons | 1970 | Fred & Sebastian
Fred had always had a hard time feeling like he belonged in his family and he wasnât sure why. He got along with his mother just fine and for the most part Amelia and Edgar, too but for some reason that he wasnât so sure of he never got on with his father or older brother. They always seemed to clash on everything. Usually he just gave in and went along with whatever they said or did but that didnât really mean that he agreed with it. He preferred to keep to himself any way and he was sure that his family did too. Occasionally he got Dolly to play along with him but he could tell when she wasnât enjoying herself and instead sent her off somewhere else.
As usual he had eaten dinner, said few words to his family, silently onlooking their conversations that they tried to include him in to no avail and then sought refuge upstairs in his room. He liked it there, it was his own private refuge. He could do whatever he pleased without having his father breathing down his neck and giving his long list of things he disapproved of which included basically everything Freddie liked. When there was a knock on his door he was sat on his bed, drawing out an incredibly detailed diagram of a Chinese Fireball that he had been working on all week. He loved dragons more than anything and was absolutely set on becoming a Dragon Tamer when he was older. When he heard his brothers voice he looked at his door with a frown. He automatically presumed that he wanted to talk about something stupid like the latest quidditch scores - which he couldnât care less about - or something he had done wrong without meaning to. When he heard dragons his frown turned to a look of confusion. He stood up and walked over to his door, opening it up.
âWhy do you want to talk about dragons? I thought they were stupid,â he crossed his arms.
Sebastian bit his tongue, he didnât appreciate Fredrickâs attitude but was keen to stay on his good side. âYeah, well, I decided that I want to know somethingsâ he shrugged, talking to him about this was going to be a little harder than he thought. âWould you mind if we sat on your bed and talked about dragons for a little while?â
