Stars In The Sea

I've always loved the night sky and its reflection on the sea's surface. Watching the waves slowly move back and forth between the tides as the stars in the sky glisten within its waters. Its a type of beauty I can never find anywhere else. I always believed that if there was someone out there I loved--I would see this very same sea reflected in their eyes.

I wonder... Just how far it goes; the ocean I mean. How deep is it? How far can we go? What's below? I've always been curious about what's down under--but even so, I wouldn't be able to see anything if I was down there.

A watery grave, that's what I want for myself. That way I can be one with the things I love most. The sea and the stars.

The first and last woman to be hanged in New Mexico was 19-year-old Paula Angel. The crime which led her to the gallows was “as old as Eden.” On 23 March, 1861, Angel stabbed her lover, Miguel Martin, to death. Martin was a married man and a father of five who had been having an affair with Angel behind his wife’s back.

Seemingly bored with the affair, Martin decided he would call it off. Within a day, Angel was apprehended for the murder and her trial was held just five days later. After being found guilty, she was sentenced to hang the following month. Her time in jail was short and torturous. It was reported that the sheriff taunted her daily by reminder her how many days she had left on earth.

As the execution date rolled around, Angel was told to sit on top of her coffin in the back of the wagon as they drove to the spot she would be killed - a tree on a cottonwood grove. There was no gallows. She was to be hanged from a tree. As the noose was tied around her neck and she was strung up to hang, it was noticed that the sheriff had forgot to tie her hands. The crowd stood in shock as Angel grabbed at her neck and tried to loosen the rope. As she was slowly being choked to death, the sheriff wrapped his arms around her waist to attempt to weight her down and facilitate her demise. The crowd booed and ordered she be cut down. The sight was unbearable.

The execution was momentarily halted so that the sheriff could tie Angel’s hands behind her back. Moments later, she was hanged once again. This time, it was successful and Angel finally perished.

Kelsey Quayle (28) was fatally shot while driving to work in Clayton County, Georgia on October 8th, 2018. Kelsey was an aspiring model, and she was heading towards her job in Riverdale at the time she was shot. After becoming disoriented from her injury, Kelsey began driving her car on the wrong side of the road, into oncoming traffic. She crashed into three other cars and was transported to a nearby hospital. Paramedics initially thought that Kelsey was suffering from injuries from the car accident, however when she finally made it to the hospital, it was discovered that she had a bullet wound in the back of her neck as well. 

Kelsey unfortunately passed away at the hospital shortly thereafter. Both Kelsey’s loved ones and investigators are absolutely baffled by her death. Investigators are unsure if Kelsey was targeted, a victim of road rage, or if she was simply just caught in a crossfire. At this time, no witnesses have been identified. Surveillance footage from a nearby gas station revealed that Kelsey did make a stop there before she was shot. Investigators are asking anybody who saw Kelsey at the gas station that day to come forward.

UPDATE: Police have released a surveillance video (which can be viewed in full here) of a young man who is now considered to be a person of interest in Kelsey’s case. The video is taken from surveillance cameras on a local bus, and the man is seen approaching the bus and knocking on the door, but he eventually walks away after the driver does not open the door for him. The police are saying that this man got into an “altercation” outside of his car shortly before the shooting occurred. If you recognize this man or have any other information about Kelsey’s death please contact the authorities. [x]

Haunted Wingate Hotel 

Guests of a Wingate Hotel somewhere in Illinois were complaining about screaming noises coming from room # 209. There were no guests staying in that room. This video footage shows a man named John being sent to investigate the matter. You can clearly hear screaming coming from the room. When John opens the door to go inside and investigate, you can see a ghostly figure come out of the door (last gif). When he goes in there he doesn’t see anyone, but all the furniture is turned upside down, carpet is ripped up and the shower is on.

On the 25th of January, 2005, 10-year-old Katlyn “Katie” Collman departed her Crothersville, Indiana, home, to pick up some toilet paper from a Dollar Store just a couple of blocks away. When she didn’t come home, her parents reported her missing and an AMBER Alert was issued. A search team was quickly assembled but there was no sign of Katie.

Five days later, Katie’s lifeless body was discovered in a creek approximately 15 miles from her home. She had been raped before being forcibly drowned in the creek. Nearby, investigators found a discarded cigarette butt which they DNA tested and compared it to the DNA found on Katie’s body. It was a match; the DNA testing results led to Anthony Ray Stockelman. After pleading guilty in exchange for the death penalty being taken off the table, Stockelman was sentenced to life imprisonment.

While the story should have ended there, it certainly didn’t. Also incarcerated in the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility, where Stockelman was serving his sentence, was Katie’s cousin, Jared Harris. On 22 September, 2006, Harris slipped into Stockelman’s open cell. When Stockelman entered the cell, Harris slammed the locked door behind them. He then held Stockelman down and tattooed “KATIE’S REVENGE” on his forehead

On February 22, 1970, 14-year-old Australian boy Keith Sapsford snuck onto the tarmac at Sydney Airport and hid inside the wheel-well on a Tokyo-bound plane. As the plane took off, amateur photographer, John Gilpin, was taking pictures at the airport. As he snapped images of Keith’s plane, he captured the moment the wheel-well opened and Keith fell out, plummeting to his death. But John didn’t even realize the tragedy he’d photographed until about a week later when he developed the film.

Photo of the “Llullaillaco Maiden”, a 15 year old girl sacrificed during the Inca Empire for both purposes of religious rite and social control. She was chosen a year prior to her death, fed a ritualistic diet for an approximate twelve months to make her gain weight, then was drugged and left on the shrine at Volcano Llullaillaco, where she was left to die of exposure. For five hundred years, her body had been preserved at 82 ft. She is considered to be the best preserved Andean mummy uncovered.

Dudley Town (AKA The Cursed Town)

Not long ago I heard about a town called "Dudley Town" in Connecticut.

A local rumor that has been frequently shared on the internet alleges the founders of Dudleytown were descended from Edmund Dudley, an English nobleman who was beheaded for treason during the reign of Henry VIII

According to alleged rumors because of their treason the family was cursed, this cursed included crop failures, mental illness as well as several purported violent deaths.

In the history of Dudley Town, it is said that it once was a forest that was converted into farmland. However due to the lack of fertlization in the area the crops would fail to grow.

Records have shown the land was, originally, occupied by the Mohawk Nation, as sacred ground.

According to the Wiki, it states that the town was a distance away from clean water and as I stated before: unstable soil for cultivation. (The soil wasn't good for planting corps.)

However, this isn't where it ends. Does anyone remember the Warrens? I'm talking about Ed and Lorraine Warren. A couple that were paranormal investigators. Their biggest hit was Annabel, the cursed Raggedy Anne doll.

They also visted this town, I am unsure when, but when they said they claimed "There is something evil within this place." and apprently there are multiple things within that town, not just one.

I do personally find these types of hauntings fasinating and very curious. However my job isn't to make every piece of information available.

However I will add some pieces of information left as to supposeably why they closed this place off from the public and places you can go via link to read more about the rumors, the history and so on. I would do it myself, but I unfourtanetly didn't have well enough sleep and my eyes hurt from looking at this screen. According to offical reports: The reason the Dudley Town is off limits to the public is because of trespassers and vandalism. (If any of my spelling is fucked up. I am sorry.) Fun facts as well for the topic: Apparently you can't find any pictures of the town from the inside, just only outside because cameras malfunction once you enter, but when you leave its working just fine. In other notes: What do you think is the real reason behind this curse? Is it real or is it just rumors? Would you explore this place? I know I would.

Its great being an observer sometimes, you get to watch humanity make mistakes for you. You learn from these mistakes, but they never do. This can also be true with recent events.

I've seen cruelty with the highest regaurd, I have witnessed death, I have suffered by my own brain with its constant memories and backlashes, but who cares about that right? We're here to learn different things, follow up on the tragedies of this Earth and experince the tales of the people who are no more. This can be said with other things and creatures as well.

Just like the recent tragedy with a cat in a blender. Not much to say on the matter, we all know the story, but its only starting. The first offender has ignited a flame in some people in other contries. The places where no animal laws exist.

I am unfazed when it comes to human tragedy, but when it comes to animals I am unsure why, but I cannot turn the other cheek. Perhaps its because I feel a deep connection with certain creatures. I guess I would feel the same if a child or infant faced the same fate as that cat did.

Nothing in this world should face such cruelty. I believe in karma, I believe that the torturers of helpless creatures--humans and animals alike--will be punished and face the same pain or worse by the hands of others or something else down the line.

I know no one will see this or read this, but for once I want to voice out my words. There are two possiblities of what may happen in the future, this generation will either retaliate, or join in the anguish of others. The power a person feels taking a life--its like you're on a drug high. You just want to keep feeling that feeling no matter what it takes.

Maybe that's why humans are the real monsters in every story. Because they don't know when to stop even if their victim begs.

7 bodies found in search for two missing Oklahoma teens.

Seven bodies have been found during the search for two missing teenagers in eastern Oklahoma, authorities have confirmed.

An Amber Alert was issued Monday for 14-year-old Ivy Webster and 16-year-old Brittany Brewer, who were last seen Monday morning at 1:22 a.m. in Henryetta, roughly 90 miles east of Oklahoma City.

According to the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office, Webster was supposed to return home by 5 p.m. Sunday after spending the weekend with a friend but didn’t show up.

Webster was reported to be staying with Jesse McFadden, who was on the state’s sex offender registry, and members of his family, officials said. Oklahoma Department of Corrections prison records show McFadden was convicted of first-degree rape in 2003 and released in October 2020.

It was thought the group went to a ranch in McAlester, but the sheriff’s office says that didn’t happen. Investigators also say at some point, Brittany Brewer was picked up Saturday night by the group.

Monday evening, authorities confirmed to KJRH and KTUL that a search warrant was executed at a property belonging to McFadden in Henryetta. There, authorities say they found seven bodies.

They believe three are Webster, Brewer, and Jesse McFadden. The medical examiner is working to confirm the identities. Authorities did not identify the other four bodies.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol canceled the missing endangered person advisory for Webster and Brewer Monday afternoon. Authorities also confirmed they are no longer searching for McFadden.

Brittany Brewer’s father told a Tulsa news outlet that one of the bodies discovered was his daughter.

“Brittany was an outgoing person. She was actually selected to be Miss Henryetta … coming up in July for this Miss National Miss pageant in Tulsa. And now she ain’t gonna make it because she’s dead. She’s gone,” Nathan Brewer said.

Court records show McFadden was scheduled to appear in court Monday for the start of a jury trial on charges of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor and possession of child pornography. A message left Monday evening with McFadden’s attorney in that case was not immediately returned.

In a separate Okmulgee County case, the bodies of four men were found Oct. 14 in the Deep Fork River in Okmulgee, a town of around 11,000 people that is about 40 miles (65 kilometers) south of Tulsa. Joseph Kennedy, 68, is facing four counts of first-degree murder in that case.

A young Colorado woman plunged to her death from a hotel roof in New York City moments after a violent and very public fight with her boyfriend, according to police and witnesses.

Twenty-year-old Dezirae Andersen and her boyfriend, Tyler Griffin, were visiting the Big Apple to introduce his parents to their 8-month-old daughter. According to witnesses, the physical altercation was so disturbing and loud that night that several hotel guests called 911 in fear for Andersen’s life.

KDVR spoke with Andersen’s mother, Cheryl Young, who is reeling from the loss of her daughter and trying to bring her granddaughter back home to Colorado to be with family. The baby girl is currently in the custody of the Administration for Children’s Services in New York City.

“I just keep thinking about how scared and confused she must be, given that she’s only 8 months old,” Young said. “I just want to get her back home where she’s with people that she knows and feels safe with.”

As of Thursday night, Young was also fighting to bring her daughter’s body back to Colorado for a proper burial. She has set up a fundraiser to help pay for costs.

Andersen’s mother said her daughter had just gotten a job at Children’s Hospital after earning a nursing degree from the University of Colorado.

Young said she was proud of her daughter, an aspiring model, and all she had accomplished. She said her daughter’s true passion was being in front of a camera.

“She loved fashion. She was always trying to find the cutest outfits,” Young said.

Andersen died Tuesday night after falling multiple stories in New York City. New York Police Department officers were called to the OYO hotel in Times Square over a report of an assault in progress and found Andersen’s body on hotel scaffolding.

Witnesses: Woman punched, kicked, dragged:

Before the fall, NYPD said the woman and her boyfriend, 24-year-old Griffin, of Littleton, were fighting in the hotel room. That’s when the heated altercation spilled out into the hallway.

“It got physical,” Young said. “He ended up hitting her multiple times.”

Witnesses say Andersen was punched repeatedly, kicked and dragged. Nexstar station WPIX in New York reported that, according to sources, Griffin pushed his girlfriend through a fire door on the 10th floor and locked her outside.

What happened next is unknown and still under investigation.

“I 100% believe that she did not jump,” Young told KDVR. “I know my daughter, and I know her well enough to know that she would not do that. She loved her baby very much, and I can never imagine her leaving her behind like that.”

Young said she had no idea about the abuse and just learned about it after her daughter’s death.

“From other people, I’ve heard that he had been abusive before and that she tried to leave and ended up going back,” Young said.

‘I wish she would have talked to me’

Emotional and choking back tears, Young said she wishes her daughter would have confided in her and asked for help.

“It really hurts me very deeply because I myself have been a victim of domestic violence and it really breaks my heart, and I wish she would have talked to me,” Young said.

NYPD has not accused Griffin of his girlfriend’s death, but he faces counts of assault, reckless endangerment and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17.

WPIX reports that police sources described Griffen as emotionally disturbed and said arriving officers had to use a Taser to subdue him. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital for an evaluation, police said.

The Disappearance of Christa Belusko

The last time anyone saw Christine Belusko and her two-year-old daughter Christa alive was in the week leading up to the 20th of September 1991, at the Mount Airy Lodge in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. Just after dawn on the same day, Christine’s lifeless body was found among weeds across from the South Beach Psychiatric Center in New York City, New York. During the autopsy, it was discovered that Christine was handcuffed and bludgeoned seventeen times with a hammer and strangled. The hammer was placed under her body, which was then set on fire. A name was engraved on the hammer, “Loyd L”. There was no sign of Christa at the scene. Christine’s body was identified in June 2021, thirty years after her brutal murder. When the authorities informed Christine’s brother of her death, the family had only just discovered she had a daughter.  

As a child, Christine was placed up for adoption and raised by a couple in New Jersey. When she discovered she was adopted, Christine decided to move to Florida in the summer of 1991. Her family were unaware that she was murdered and believed she was living happily in Florida.  

As of 2023, Christine’s murder remains unsolved, and what happened to Christa is also unknown.

Katelyn Kelley vanished overnight between June 16th and June 17th of 2020. The 22-year-old mother lived on the Menominee Reservation in Keshena, Wisconsin at the time of her disappearance. The last known sighting of Katelyn occurred around 10:30 PM on June 16th. Surveillance cameras captured Katelyn near County Highway VV and Silver Canoe Road. Reports state she left the reservation after that sighting. Katelyn never returned home and was never seen by her loved ones again. Family members reported Katelyn missing on June 18th, 2020. It was unusual for Katelyn to stay out-of-touch with her family, nor did it seem likely that she would abandon her young son. Both Tribal Police and Shawano Police began investigating the case.

A few weeks after Katelyn’s disappearance, the Tribal Police announced that they believed someone picked Katelyn up shortly after she was last seen on the evening of June 16th. They released a still image of the surveillance footage that captured Katelyn in hopes that anyone who saw her that night would come forward. It was also announced that whoever picked Katelyn up gave her a ride to Shawano.

Eventually, the FBI joined the case. Many searches were conducted, people were questioned, but seemingly nothing was found. Months later, during March 2021, it was announced that human remains had been found on the Menominee Reservation. Those remains were later positively identified as Katelyn Kelley. Her exact cause of death has not been released, but her manner of death has been labeled a homicide.

There are many unanswered questions left in Katelyn’s case. A few theories have emerged, but the main questions still remain: What happened to Katelyn? Who is responsible for her death?

12-year-old Lynne Harper came from a Canadian Air Force family and was used to frequently relocating all across the map in Canada. In the summer of 1957, the family settled into the Permanent Married Quarters–the PMQ, as many called them–in RCAF Station Clinton, which was once an air force base south of Clinton, Ontario, roughly 20 kilometres away from Lake Huron. All of the kids living on base attended the same school, swam in the same RCAF pool, and frolicked at the same playground. 

On June 9th, 1957, Lynne came home for dinner and asked her parents if either one of them could take her to the local RCAF pool. All children were required to be accompanied by an adult when attending the pool for a swim. However, both of them objected, causing much of a fuss on Lynne’s end. Lynne left to go to the pool by herself, but was turned away by the pool’s supervisor. She then returned home and begrudgingly helped with some chores before leaving  the house again without telling anyone where she was going. 

Lynne found herself at the local playground, where she approached 14-year-old Steven Truscott. The two were classmates but never really interacted. Steven was your average 8th grader who was physically active and never got himself into trouble. Lynne asked if he could give her a lift on his bike to Highway 8, and he agreed to do so. On the way there, Lynne mentioned her intention to visit Mr. Lawson’s barn on Highway 8 to see the ponies. 

As per her request, he dropped Lynne off at the intersection of a country road and Highway 8. On the way back to Clinton, Steven would later claim he looked over his shoulder to see Lynne getting into a mysterious vehicle. 

Lynne never came home that night. The next morning, she was still missing. Lynne’s parents notified police and an investigation ensued. On June 11, two days after Lynne’s disappearance, her body was found close to a bush on Lawson’s property. She had been sexually assaulted and strangled with her own blouse. 

The following day, Steven was arrested for her murder, as he was the last person to be seen with her. During the trial, the defense and Crown brought on many witnesses, plenty of which were children. One female classmate claimed that Steven had repeatedly invited her to meet him at Lawson’s barn. When she finally went there, he never showed up. The following day at school, she confronted him about it, and he responded by shrugging his shoulders. 

The defense and Crown argued endlessly about the timeline of the murder. But ultimately, Steven was found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging, making him the youngest person in Canada to face execution. 

Steven has maintained his innocence for years and believed he was given an unfair trial. Many people advocated on his behalf and fought for his conviction to be overturned. In 1960, Steven’s death sentence was commuted to a life sentence. In 2007, his conviction was overturned and he was exonerated as it was argued that the forensic evidence presented at his trial was weak and circumstantial. 

To this day, Lynne Harper’s death remains unsolved, with Canadians divided on their beliefs about whether Steven was truly the culprit.

Destiny Mills was only 20 years-old when she was murdered on March 24th, 2015. She lived in an apartment in Trotwood, Ohio at the time of her death. The circumstances surrounding Destiny’s death have left her loved ones with more questions than answers, and her murder remains unsolved today. A few months before her death, Destiny began dating a new boyfriend named Michael D. Scott. According to Destiny’s mother, Destiny had mentioned Michael a few times but had not introduced him to her family yet. In fact, Destiny’s mother’s first interaction with Michael occurred on the night Destiny was killed. That evening, Michael sent her mother a Facebook message to tell her that Destiny had been shot. She died while being transported to the hospital. By Michael’s account, Destiny was inside her apartment, lying on her couch, when “a hail of 8-10 bullets came through the wall and door.” One of the bullets struck Destiny in the chest. There were reportedly other people inside the apartment as well, but Destiny was the only one to get hit by a bullet. The shooter(s) fled the scene before police arrived. Destiny’s family members are suspicious of Michael’s version of events, but Trotwood police are not considering him a suspect in her murder at this time. Still, in September 2015, Michael was arrested for the murder of Joshua Hamilton. Michael reportedly shot and killed Joshua while inside Kricket’s Tavern in Huber Heights. In 2016, he was found guilty of those charges and sentenced to 22 years in prison. Despite all of this, police do not believe Michael was the one who shot and killed Destiny. However, they do believe that Michael might have been the intended target on the night Destiny was shot. There were reportedly up to 15 people in the apartment at the time the gunfire erupted–and there were multiple other people in and out of the apartment at various times that day as well.
