James mentions in a recent podcast that part of the acting dynamic between him and Ryan was Ryan changing his lines midway through in response to a movement from Rocky's hands, and I'm convinced one of those instances was in the beginning when he's telling Rocky to wait by lifting a finger and Rocky pokes at the xenonite divider in curious mimicry so he pauses his sentence to poke back and do that devastatingly adorable little "yeah" at him. I'm obsessed with that moment because it genuinely sounds like Grace and Ryan are both momentarily overcome by how cute Rocky is and it's so sweet and soft and I love it.
