one of my my iranian professors told me in class today that her friend- a US citizen- was detained for 24 hours yesterday when trying to re enter the US. her electronics were confiscated and she was required to give them passwords to her social media so they could check what she posts/shares. she was asked about who she voted for and what her opinions on donald trump were and she was placed on a plane in an attempt to deport her.

SHE WAS NOT A VISA OR GREEN CARD HOLDER. SHE IS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN WHO ALSO HAD CITIZENSHIP IN IRAN- JUST LIKE ME. AN AMERICAN C I T I Z E N.

after being detained for 24 hours and forced to get on a plane where she was almost sent back, she was allowed re entry to the US. 

AGAIN: SHE IS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN.

Not that the CBP cares, given I also heard today they detained a green-card holder AFTER the DHS said the racist ban didn’t apply to green-card holders.

Apparently the White House heard about our Sheriff and is looking to make us an example with a big media blitz. Don’t know all your network connections and wanted to spread the word so organizations can encourage immigrant families to get out of town if possible”
