As someone who thinks of L as being very much aroace I don't usually interpret him as being attracted to Misa, mostly because every scene people point to as evidence of this reads to me as either L lying or the writers doing fanservice w/ Misa. But I do think it's interesting to think about because if he is genuinely attracted to her, that puts Misa in a position where she is entirely surrounded by people who are attracted to her on some level with the exception of her partner, who has no interest in her whatsoever. This really adds to the horror of her situation- and there's a lot you could do with that wrt yagamane. Either Misa is having to cope with the one person she wants to be attracted to her having zero interest and repeatedly leaving her at the mercy of people whose attraction she possibly finds threatening/scary, or, quite possibly, she's comforted subconsciously by the fact that Light, on this level and no other, is completely nonthreatening.
