The chairs, however, were paid for in human life. I inherited them; they were originally my great grandmother's. But they're not particularly rare-- you can find these exact chairs without a lot of effort, in reasonable shape, for not that much money. They made a lot of them.

so Earth is blowing up you got to evacuate to Mars once you have enough money to buy the ticket you hop off and realize Mars sucks ass it's kind of basically just a work colony but you have to work so you can go to the next planet and then the next planet each having you do seemingly meaningless tasks one has you fishing on a island planet another has you working in a pasta factory once you eventually fight the leader you realize all your work has been done just to make a stupid pasta with caviar (or some other frivolous item depending on the work that you do) for the head leader so you fight him absolutely murder him in Cold blood take his place and make it communist utopia or capitalist two different endings depending on which you choose
