hey strangers....  IT’S KOTA! shocking i know

just to let y’all know i’m not dead, i’ve been working as much over time as I can at work because I’M MOVING INTO MY FIRST APARTMENT!!! I move on the 20th, and I’m currently working two jobs to make sure I’ve got enough saved and won’t be stressing about money while I’m living there, and all my free time has been with my totally rad boyfriend ( listen y’all this guy listens to me rant about Bail Organa and he still likes me I don’t know how I snagged him but damn it’s great). I miss writing and hope that once I’m moved and settled in I’ll be able to be here, Lando, and Jaina more. I can’t believe it’s been months since I’ve been here. I feel soooo bad. I hope there are still people here who want to write with me when I’m in a better place to do so. LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!

        a soft smile spread across her lips as she heard her name flow past his lips.  ❛ likewise, prince organa. your mother sent a ship for me. she said she’d like us to spend the day together, if that’s something you would like to do. ❜ 

     bail almost wants to laugh, for some unexplainable reason, but he simply exhales quietly instead. there is no surprise in the statement about his mother; he almost saw the actions coming.  “ my mother is a smart woman, i had no plans for the day, i can see no better way then spending it in your company.”

“Well…” Padmé hesitated. Time away from the Senate for her was generally dedicated to the one specific thing no one in the Senate knew about: her marriage. There were so many moments when she envied Bail and Breha, they didn’t have to hide their love like she had to, Breha wasn’t constantly worried that Bail might die in combat, while Padmé’s secret Jedi husband was off fighting on the front lines… “I’ll see what I can do,” she promised, realizing that she’d almost been ignoring her friend.

he doesn’t miss the hesitation in her voice - and he admires the dedication that she has towards the galaxy, but even so she needed a day off every so often. Every time he was on Coruscant she was hard at work in her office, and if he called her off hours, most often he was told she was working at something from home. Bail offers a small smile and a nod of his head. “Glad to hear it, I’m sure you’re well over due for a few hours to yourself, to talk about something that isn't the war. ”

Aniasis was, for the most part, unassuming. At least, more so than Lord Vader or Imperial Officers, despite the handful of Stormtroopers behind her. She wasn’t dressed in any obvious armour with no visible weapon. The only displeasure she created was her air of superiority and upturned nose. 

The Empire used her to their advantage. The opposition, feeling more comfortable around Aniasis tended to more lax around her, letting information slip, to which she delivered to Lord Vader. Of course, this man would be harder to crack and new tactics had to be used.

“The pleasure is all mine. Boys,” She said to the troopers, “start your search.”

Bail does not allow himself to show the emotion racing through him in that moment; whatever the Lady Vader and her stormtroopers had come to Alderaan to find, they would not find it. But that didn't stop the slight twinge of worry within him, the subtle paranoia that was hidden in the back of hims mine, that they might think of some other way to break him, for him and his family to admit just what they were conspiring to do.

But he swallows, face stoic and arms crossed, watching as the new group dispersed. " Is it alright if I inquire just why you guys have felt the need to come into our house and what exactly you are hoping to find? " Bail knew, and it was obvious the Empire knew that he knew ( or at least had their suspicions ) otherwise they wouldn't be here right now. Of course, he wouldn't break. The facade of innocence would remain in tact -- as far as everyone was aware, the House of Organa, and the rest of Alderaan, were still as peaceful as ever, with no ties to the Rebel Alliance.

                     ☕  - Do you prefer coffee or tea? Perhaps neither, or both?  When I used to work 7AM on Saturdays it was coffee all the way (thank god those days are gone) but overall, I think I’m more of a tea person lately. And we can all thank the one time I decided to be spontaneous at Starbucks and bought their Peach Green Tea. Ever since then it’s been like OMG I LOVE TEA.                      ☠ - Do you think you’d survive a zombie apocalypse? Are they entering my home where they’ll find me cuddled up underneath a blanket crying? If not, then totally I’d survive. Because that’s what I would be doing.

To others, it may have been a small gestures. The gentle kiss on his cheek was merely a moment between a father and daughter. Not to Bail, though. It was much more than that. Every moment that he’d shared with here, no matter how small, was burned in the back of his mind; and Leia had just  managed to cause all of them to stir. Now that Leia was getting older, he felt like the two of them had less and less time together. But damn, was he proud of her. She’d grown into a fine young woman, the perfect blend of an Alderaanian princess, as well as her biological parents and he couldn’t have asked for a better daughter to continue on with his lives work. With an exhale, he stands as she walks away, and with a soft tone, he calls her name. “Leia,”  her brown eyes meet with his and he longs for those moments years ago when she was barely learning to stand and walk. The moments when she’d propped herself up against the table and stared in awe at what she’d seen. “You’ll stay safe.” It isn’t a question or a suggestion - and it doesn’t even really have much to do with the conversation they’d just had. But now that Leia was getting older.... she was going to be getting into a lot more trouble - a blind man could see that.

i… i really want to say they do, at least the star wars characters, because they’re all such great people who gave up a lot for the good of the galaxy.  I mean, just look at Bail. Here’s a man that devoted his entire life to it, not only to the galaxy as a whole but even just Alderaan. And he was a great friend, father, and husband and that’s just really great. I could go on about Jaina and Lando, but I won’t because we’ll be here all day. They’ve both got their flaws - but in the end, just like Bail, they’d do what it takes to help others out. And while I really want to say that they reflect who I am, honestly right now I don’t think they do. I’m incredibly selfish. And that’s something that I’m working on, and I want to be able to stop what I’m doing and go out and help people, but for some reason I just freeze up when it get’s there. For example - I really want to be a UHP trooper. In the long run that’s what I want to do with my life, and now that I’m old enough to apply for the academy, there’s something in the back of my mind that’s stopping me. As much as I want to help people and serve them, and I know someday I will be able to,  right now I just don’t want to risk it.

TL;DR No, bc I’m lazy and selfish.

because i like to spite my mother (jk i love her lots) and do things that everyone else is doing. here’s another list (also really late to the new year ones that’s been going around lmao i’m a turtle) of people i’ve interacted with and/or enjoy greatly even if we’ve never written or talked. thank you guys for making ‘16 tolerable. i’m really lazy so this goes for all my accounts ( @swordofjedi, @calrissism, and @senatoa. ) just remember that you guys are the bees knees & i hope that this year, as well as the rest of your life, is spectacular.

   Dark brows furrowed as a frown took over the child’s features. “But I thought I was supposed to be nice all the time?”

           Bail chuckles at that, shaking his head through a smile as he leans back in his chair. “That’s right, Jaina. You’re supposed to be nice to other beings.”  How did he explain this to Leia? Had he ever, or did she just learn on her own? Goodness, that was so long ago he couldn’t really remember. Bail smiles, tone soft as he tries to clarify his meaning. “But you’re also allowed to have an opinion. For example, if your Mom braids your hair and you don’t really like he way it looks or it’s too tight, you aren’t just not going to say anything because you don’t want to hurt her feelings, are you?”

“That’s another, simpler, way to say it I suppose.” With the corner of his lip turned, he glances back towards the crowd with a low exhale. “It’s going to be quite a show, Jedi Tachi.”
