That’s an interesting development, because the dictionary definition (wikipedia) asserts the “radical” part means a feminist that simply believes the patriarchy exists. That is the reasoning TERFs use to exclude Trans people from feminism. Most Trans-*in*clusionary, intersectional feminists who would traditionally consider themselves Radical Feminists have dropped the “radical” from their identifier because they don’t want to be associated with Trans-exclusionary Radical Feminists, and rightfully so, as the simple existence of the patriarchy is now generally accepted among all feminists. So yeah, TERFs have pretty much stolen the ‘radical’ part of radical feminism.

Just look at what a bad ass Banno is! The creative team behind Drive has done splendid work at building up 006 through subtext for about a month: he fights without transforming at all and does very well against the Riders, the actor carries himself with such confidence that it makes him seem even more powerful, he compares himself to Heart who just keeps showing us he won’t stop getting stronger until he is dead AND THEN Banno just takes out 006 mid-sentence! That was beautiful. The Roimudes have consistently spoken of Banno as a threat and the fact that they haven’t destroyed him is a shred of evidence that he is powerful. I don’t believe the words, “Banno is too powerful/unstoppable,” have ever been spoken, but the show has consistently demonstrated things to us that serve to build him as a major threat. Chase even asks Heart to work with the Riders to take out Banno and Heart only refuses because of his pride, he doesn’t refute that it’d be easier, Heart just wants to do it on his own.
