“Adventurous.” he says. “Reckless.” replies the others. Sergei Krum was a boy who loved the thrill he received from doing the things others could only dream of. One who would grow to be a man that would run on the adrenaline pumping through his veins as he proved every negative though about him wrong. In Sergei’s world there was no limit to what he could do only because he hadn’t allowed himself to draw the line just yet.
Growing up in a wizarding community would give him many good experiences to look back on but the ones he best recalls came from the fact that Sergei had a muggleborn mother and an old-fashioned pureblood grandmother. Growing up with both in his life gave Sergei a nice VIEW of the advantages and disadvantages to both worlds. This made him even more confused though whenever the conversation topic switched to blood purity.
A destructively curious child was what Sergei was. One that hardly ever listened to the rules because they set boundaries he didn’t want to stay in. When visiting his muggle grandparents Sergei had been sent out to play in the back yard with strict instructions from his mother not to go climbing trees like he liked to do. After growing bored of doing just about anything else he could do Sergei did the exact thing he was told not to do, climb the tree in the back yard. He had managed to get himself halfway up the tree before he lost his footing and toppled to the ground breaking his leg in the fall. Being a fair distance away from the any wizarding community the Krums decided that Sergei’s injury would have to be healed the muggle way until they went back home. It was that one painfully long week that Sergei came to the conclusion that muggles were tougher then they seemed if they could stand being stuck in a cast for so long. Longer since they couldn’t use magic to heal. The scare he obtained from this however would be something interesting to show off when he went to attend Durmstrang THE FOLLOWING year.
Obtaining authority over the other students at Durmstrang was a task that Sergei was hesitant about doing but one he wouldn’t regret in the long wrong. So many students acted as if they could do whatever they wanted because they were the “Superior” ones and there was no one there to go against them. That’s where Sergei came in. He wasn’t for the higharchy that so many seemed to follow, how they thought they could push others they considered lesser then them around it was high time that the postions reversed. Sergei’s start at changing everyting wasn’t even by choice, he was just flung into the situation and he acted according to his own ways. When the fight with the older student was over Sergei began to notice how people looked at him differnetly and that’s when the girs in his head started turning. If this was the path that Sergei was going to have to travel then he’d certainly take it but it wasn’t going to be easy.
A few years at Durmstrang have certainly toughedend Sergei’s skin in more than one way. He isn’t as reluctant to do things as he once was but he’s still prone to act out even more so when it comes to defening blood equality. What people say about Sergei personally doesn’t affect him most of the time, it’s come to be something that goes in one ear and out he other as he only CHECKS for the little details so he knows who to return the kind words to. Sergei doesn’t try to ignore what he can and is quicker to react in some situations than others. Everything will be taken care of in one way or another, either verbally or physical in the end. Sergei didn’t get to where he is now by letting people off with a warning after all and he’s not going to anytime soon either.
Sergei has mixed feelings about attending Durmstrang, he believes it to be a good school but so many of it’s professors and students share the same corrupt VIEWSthat it feels like the whole environment is tainted unless yourself also express the same concerns. The battle magic offered in courses is something that Sergei see’s to be useful in the future as he in considering becoming an auror so he’s thankful for having learnt it at such a young age but doesn’t like that the action is forced upon the student body to do so and even use it on one another. Its almost as if they’re training the students for something else and with as many pureblood elitists at Durmstrang as it is Sergei wouldn’t put it against them if he really took the time to think about it. Sergei knows after years of being a half-blood at a school known for accepting only pureblood students that if this supposed war between the Purebloods and everyone else really starts then things aren’t going to look bright any sooner. He’s more worried about his mother then himself since she’s a muggleborn and looked down upon the most next to actual muggles by some elitist.

Sergei has a big personality, he’s rowdy and loud, and loves to make a commotion. He also isn’t afraid of causing trouble, but this was something he had to develop over his first few months at Durmstrang, as it became clear, being a halfblood, no one was giving him the respect he thought every human deserved. So he made them give it to him, forced it out of them by making himself the alpha dog. Which, wasn’t too hard, as even in first year, the boy was nearly as tall as some seventh years. He isn’t afraid to start a fight, especially when it comes to the topic of blood purity, something that has earned him more than one session of corporal punishment. And he most definitely doesn’t mind calling someone out on their shit, even if it causes a fuss or a scene.
+ Determined: Even as hard as it may seem at times being at a school with VIEWSlike Durmstrang has Sergei is set on making a positive name for himself. He’s already known for being a fighter at the school, someone to be careful around when they start speaking of their views especially those on blood status. Though as bad as they may be it’s those fights and harsh words exactly that make people think twice about what they know and if that’s what it’s going to take to get others to reconsider their purist ideals and SHOW some respect to others outside their supposed rank then it looks like Sergei isn’t ready to back down anytime soon.
+ Loyal: If he doesn’t back down then there’s no chance that Sergei is gong to leave you behind to fend for yourself. Sergei is someone who if you can you’d like to make a FRIEND out off. He’s not much for comforting when one of his friends is distressed but he’s awfully good at listening and being their when you want to vent or rant about what’s on your mind. Sergei will always be there for his friends and acquaintances. Even if you aren’t on great speaking terms he doesn’t forget the little actions and will return the favor when it’s needed. Fiercely protective Sergei will always have your back be it on an assignment or for an actual brawl you can count him in.
+ Easygoing: Carefree and optimistic is definitely how Sergei likes to present himself. He doesn’t like to bother with the negatives in life if he can help it. It wasn’t like he had much in his life to worry about anyway. If he’s not in s a sour mood then Sergei can usually been seen a grin on his face ready to send back a cocky comment to just about anything that could be said to him with the wrong intent in mind. His happy-go-lucky moments aren’t a rare sight but they’re definitely appreciated when compared to how Sergei can act sometimes when his temper flares up for one reason or another.
- Reckless: Act first and think a few house later how you could have done everything completely different, that’s how Sergei Krum responds to situation. It’s his inability think about the consequences beforehand that gets him into trouble more often then he should. From climbing trees despite the warnings his mother spoke to him to impress a friend resulting in a broken leg once he lost his footing and hit the ground to mouthing back to teachers when he disagreed with the class material. Sergei doesn’t seem to think of the future just yet but he’s trying, it’s just that his head still seems to be caught up in the exciting now and all the problems going on that currently need his attention.
- Opinionated: Having been raised by a muggle-born mother and a pureblooded father and grandmother Sergei has experienced quiet a bit of what both sides have to offer. It makes his blood boil when he hears others shaming half-bloods and muggle-borns. When Sergei hears others talking about this he’s quick to try and reprimand them but with a majority of the students at Durmstrang as stubborn about their views as he is it’s not something easily done. Often more then not vile words and threats are swapped between the opposer and Sergei alike. It’s when those threats are carried out can one easily see how strongly Sergei feels about blood equality and what exactly he’ll do to make those actions known.
- Blunt: Not one to water down or tip toe around the issues Sergei is rather straightforward and harsh when it comes to certain things. Either it be something he does often like calling someone out on their bullshit to trying to comfort a FRIENDwhich is something that he hasn’t quiet gotten the hang of. The male is good with arguments and nick picking at things he doesn’t like but being comforting to a friend should be something more than a pat on the back and an awkward statement on how the’ll get through it all.

Leonard Minkov: While Sergei isn’t the bullying type, if there was a kid to bully, it’d be Leonard, and everyone expected him to, to assert his dominance against the new first years. But instead, Sergei found himself actually liking the kid. He made him laugh, and was surprisingly unafraid of him, not afraid to do to Sergei what Sergei did to everyone else; call him out on his shit. While Sergei helped Leo in his social situation, telling him when he was being a bit too much.
Racław ‘Claw’ Nathanson: Sergei absolutely hates the guy, not only for his ridiculous ideas of blood purity, but because he makes it a hobby to torture Leonard…Yet somehow, time and time again Sergei finds himself in compromising positions with the boy in some dark hidden away part of the Durmstrang castle. He says every time is ‘the last time’, but they both know it’s not true.
Alana Cvetkov: The two grew up practically as neighbors, and as kids of the same age, of course their parents pushed them together, to keep eachother entertained. They became best friends, but when they became older, they found other ways of entertaining eachother. While their relationship is sexual in nature, it’s completely platonic, as they’re really close friends.For obvious reasons they don’t see eachother much during the school year, only on breaks and vacations. Sergei is excited to see his close friend again.
