New poll with Yang in 3rd place at 10%!!!! But unqualifying for the debate. Isn’t it suspicious that he’s been getting 10-11% in recent unqualifying polls and only 2% in the polls that DNC says counts for the debate? DNC is being shady af. Meanwhile people on the ground see Yang yard signs all over the place, just as much if not more than that of other candidates. He outraised Klobuchar in Q4 fundraising by 5 million. But DNC let’s Klobuchar into the debate and not Yang.

Season 3: Yang vs. Bernie (not for sure yet, but the writers seem to be foreshadowing this as the main plotline for Season 3)

In case you haven’t heard, mainstream media has been leaving Andrew Yang out or making maybe/maybenot intentional errors with his name since March 2019!  You can see many of them in this link below:

But this new one is quite probably the stupidest one yet. Instead of ACTUAL Andrew Yang and ACTUAL Tulsi Gabbard, they have the photo of some dude named Geoff Yang and Kirsten Gillibrand who already dropped out of the race. Come on CNBC! You’ve had like a year to figure this out already! I really have to think it’s intentional at this point because how does CNBC not know how to do the basic task of googling a photo?

But I’m actually laughing instead of angry because whenever people try to hold Yang back it ends up backfiring. Now Andrew Yang and Geoff Yang’s twitters are following each other. If Geoff Yang’s family/friends/coworkers weren’t Yanged before, I bet many of them are now! Thanks CNBC XOXOXO! The only way this could get better is if Geoff publicly endorsed Andrew and we get some hilarious media coverage out of it.

Update

Just got back from China where I could not use tumblr due to various problems with my VPN and slow internet. 

This tumblr will now temporarily be mostly devoted to the ANDREW YANG campaign because it is a very vital do-or-die time for YangGang right now and I feel super passionate about it in a way that I’ve never been passionate about politics before. I might post other things every now and then (no rules), but honestly my head is full of nothing but this campaign for the past several months. I’m eating and breathing it. If you don’t know who Andrew Yang is, he’s running to become the 46th US President. Even if you don’t think you’re interested in him, stick around a little while and you might be pleasantly surprised. Otherwise, goodbye my dear unsubscriber.

How is Andrew Yang a pessimist?

Why do I keep hearing the media describe Andrew Yang as a pessimist? I’ve heard that 4 times already. I don’t get it because I would actually describe Andrew Yang as a realist. 

Definition of realist on dictionary.com: a person who tends to view or represent things AS THEY REALLY ARE

Day 3 of 3 months-ish in Shanghai

I was way too jetlagged the first 2 days to do anything except stay in bed through the daytime and then wide awake in the night catching up on some youtube videos I missed. From leaving my home to 5 hour layover in Detroit to arriving in Shanghai, getting picked up by my cousin and then the drive to my apartment it was a total of 30 travel hours. 

And then I opened the door to see this:

My uncle, aunt and cousin had the keys to my apartment to look after it while I was in the U.S. My cousin tried a take-out fast food business for a few months that didn’t work out and he decided to put the giant frickin commercial grade fridge and freezer in my apartment since I’m only in China part of the year and he couldn’t fit them at his place. So now I go through this gap the size of the skinniest side of a carry-on suitcase whenever I am going from the bedrooms/bathroom end of the apartment to the livingroom/kitchen/frontdoor. Plus I have to wipe up the water that drips from them every now and then.

Ugh. And I feel like I can’t do anything about it because they are helping me out by managing my apartment whenever I’m gone so I should help them out too...

Btw, my this-totally-works tip for opening the talenti containers that are often so stubborn you can literally injure yourself while trying to open one.

Put on a pair of those thin latex gloves. It’s worked every time for me, and has worked better than any grippy jar opener gadgets.

Upper 90F degree weather. But got out there today to help a fellow artist paint his ginormous mural. (Artists support artists!) I’ve never painted a wall before let alone a mural so I didn’t know how much arm strength you actually need. After 2 hours I was dizzy tired and my hands had some kind of allergic reaction to the brand of latex gloves we were using. But I felt a huge sense of accomplishment. My limitation was my physical strength. Personality-wise if I had some music or a good audiobook I coulda easily done this for several more hours because I don’t mind work that requires patience and it was incredibly satisfying watching that ugly wall get transformed. This was only the base layer. He said he’s still gonna be working on it for the rest of the month. If I wasn’t leaving the country on Monday I would be happy to help again. Gotta come see it when I get back from Shanghai.

When you study because you personally want to do it for yourself and not because you feel forced to it turns into pleasure.

Sitting in an Asian dessert shop working my way through Chapter 29 of Chinese version of Anne of Green Gables with the English version on the ipad for comparison while having an iced green tea and a injeolmi red bean taiyaki and playing Name That Song with the music they had on. Yes, it was studying, but nobody can convince me that wasn’t a nice afternoon.

Sims 4 update for this week has me shooketh!!!! It’s coming this week for base game! New stairs manipulation for all existing stairs! Perfect with the magic pack that’s coming. Now we can build stairwells and spiral stairscases (well, not curved ones but still spiraling.)  And the Muslim-style build/buy and CAS items!!! There are other items too (including new patio furniture, plant potters, light up fencing etc.)  I just didn’t capture everything and, besides, they didn’t go into everything in the stream (which you can watch here https://www.twitch.tv/videos/476354163)
