After spending most of her day with a six-year-old, to say that Quinn was thankful for the respite of her mother’s return from work was an understatement. It was time well-spent, and she knew that. Anna deserved time to be treated like a little kid again after what she had gone through, but Quinn was thankful for the calm that escaping the house granted her. Still, she took out her phone to send her mother a quick message: Let me know if you need anything while I’m out xoxo. She hadn’t thought to look up in time to avoid the collision with the other figure that sent her stumbling. “Geez!” Quinn regained her balance and looked up with a laugh. “I’m so sorry. Guess they were right about the dangers of technology.”
It was only coffee he wanted and it almost cost him; he, yet again, managed to almost kill someone simply by walking. Without managing to pour his cup on her, he tried to steady her with his free hand. “Don’t be sorry, I almost burned you just now, should be my fault for not paying attention either. “ Seth tried to give her a smile as an apology given that he was as clumsy with his words than he was with his movements. “Technology is no match for hot coffee, trust me on that.”
