Finished Arcane yesterday, can't say I loved season 2... the artstyle and animation remained stellar, of course, but what happened to the writing?
baffled by the pivot from "class inequality is bad" to "but you know what's worse? War :)"
wait scratch that I guess distracting your society from class inequality by introducing a foreign threat is very American, actually
wild to pretend that Zaun getting a single seat in the Council to Piltover's SIX changes anything and isn't further proof of inequality
very sick of the "the only morally acceptable way of killing yourself is if you do it for somebody else" trope at this point
even more sick of the "evil because attempting to improve society too much" trope
as a multiply disabled person with chronic pain, Jace's "your imperfections make you beautiful" speech made me wish that I could physically materialize in the Arcane realm and strangle him with my bare, aching hands
actually why did you make that leg brace for yourself, Jace? Accept your imperfections, they make you beautiful!
literally what was the point of Vander dying but not really, and then dying but not really, and then dying but not really, and then dying but not really
I guess Viktor, who held onto his morals and made every attempt to reduce danger to others in his research, is evil, but Singed, the mad scientist who spliced people with wolves in a cave is sympathetic now and deserves to get everything he wanted in the end :3
can anyone provide me with a good argument as to why the timeline-hopping Viktor couldn't just... talk to himself, and instead needed Jace to do it for him
WILD for Heimerdinger to let Ekko go on believing he died like that and not, you know... tell him that Yordles respawn.
