im trying to explain to my dad why women and men arent really that different but it isnt working out because i cant explain my point. he brought up sports and how men are inherently stronger and women could never beat men in sports or whatever and i know hes wrong but i dont know any good places to look to show him why. hes very focused on the "biology" of it all but i think hes wrong about that too. and transphobic at some points. idk this is probably confusing sorry i was just wondering if you had any good sources for things like that
Well, Anon, I hate to say this but the issue here isn't that you're not explaining your point correctly; its that your dad is a misogynist.
It's been a well known fact for decades that men are not inherently stronger and women can, in fact, beat them. You're telling me your dad has never heard of a woman beating a man physically in anyway? Of course he has; he's just trying to use bigoted science as an excuse for his bigotry.
Frankly, I'd start by asking him if he's never fucking heard of Serena Williams and whether he wants to dig his whole deeper or admit he's wrong but hey, for your sake, I don't mind digging out a couple recs.
