remembering
may you heal so hard that you start exploring your hobbies again
person who genuinely hates themselves so much they can barely look anyone in the eye: i must remain humble lest my hideous ego spiral out of control
Migraine sufferers will be like "it's not like I'm disabled or anything, it's just that if I do any of these normal everyday things other people do all the time, my head explodes. But I'm fine honestly, as long as I avoid doing anything ever and my environment and the weather never changes, then my head explodes a little less"
boring dot com forward slash bullshit
friendly reminder that skin picking, overwashing, finger biting, and hair pulling are not “bad habits” or personal failings; they are all forms of evolutionarily ingrained self harm disorder called Repetitive Body-Focused Behavior that is a natural response to high stress levels and poor quality of life caused by the same neurological processes that cause animals to overgroom when they’re kept in inhumane conditions
Really funny one two punch on my dash this morning
They don’t tell you C-PTSD is a chronic illness. They don’t tell you you’ll get joint pain from lying and sitting in positions that are uncomfortable for too long while you were dissociating. They don’t tell you how you could do irreparable damage to your own body having a flashback. They don’t tell you about psychological seizures. They don’t tell you about hyperventilation. They don’t tell you about the brain damage. They don’t tell you about the awful digestion issues and the stomach pain and the nausea. They don’t tell you about the heart attacks. They don’t tell you about the muscle aches. They don’t tell you about the effects of sleep deprivation. They don’t tell you you’ll forget to feed yourself. They don’t tell you’ll constantly have to decide whether your body is exhibiting a symptom from your trauma or a symptom from an underlying illness that could kill you. They don’t tell you about the damage adrenaline does to your heart. They don’t tell you any of it, they’d rather you just think you’re crazy.
the next day after exerting myself too much because i felt good for once
hi welcome to ocd simulator; there is not a gun in your backpack. but also you should check. also dont go through any metal detectors. but also dont be obvious about it because you have a gun. but also you dont and dont Check because that also makes it seem like you have a gun. no i know you have a tiny cross chest bag. its just a really tiny gun.
wild having moral OCD while also believing in the inherent goodness of humanity/the necessity for restorative justice, because it’s like: yeah, people are a product of their circumstances. very rarely is anyone truly incapable of change and there’s no such thing as a person who is fundamentally evil. except for me of course.
finding out you spent most of your life dissociated is a HUGE bummer
i thought shit didnt stick to me cuz i was slick but its cause i wasnt there #LAME
what do you mean my disability disables my abilities? what the fuck
In case no one has told you today, I’m so proud of you I know how hard you’re trying
Me spending time with people: joy abounds, we are all connected and there is hope!
Me 1 day later: I need to be left alone to gather the pieces of Me together
Me 2 days later: there is something very rotten at my core and I will almost certainly die unloved
the thing about recovery is that you need to actively choose it.. even and especially when you relapse, you need to start again, over and over and over, as many times as needed. just know that by choosing recovery you’re on your way to something brighter, bolder and better. i love you.
whose dumb ass idiot fuck idea was it to make medicine cost money
go to triple hell
