The Problem With Job Searching
Job searching is an essential part of life as everyone will have to apply for something at some point in their life but jobs are typically the most common. Who can go wrong with applying for work?
Lets start with the requirement of some of these jobs, I get that these jobs just don't want anyone applying but setting an unrealistic requirement of 5 Years experience for a simple data entry job is a bit ridiculous. Then there's the remote/work from home jobs and these are even more ridiculous to the point where you need not only 5 years experience in call center work, you also need to have advanced programming skills again for some reason just to get a job being a live chat agent.
I see so you wont hire the person looking desperately for work but they'll hire someone who doesn't even speak a lick of english and have them click on automated responses. See what I think is that these jobs only want shills to work for them as if we worked there then I guarantee you that we would find something out about the company and have them shut down as a result.
By far the worst offender of job searching is when the employer lets you in under false promises and then you end up leaving after a handful of months cause all the benefits and perks only come with management and 5+ years of work... The main problem is that some people live in isolated like towns where you'd have to drive 30-40 minutes at least at 60MPH just to get to another town and with the hourly pay rate being somewhat decent if the employer shafts you on hours then you're effectively spending more in gas than what your making to cover the gas as well as any and all bills.
Yes a job might pay 13+/hr but if you're only getting 12-16 hours a week if even then its not all that good then, lets not forget the dastardly act of Winter Hours which feels like corpo BS while yes some hours change but its usually the entry level people getting only 1-2 days a week while managers don't change at all or they'll tell you that things are slow when the calls/costumers just keep coming all day long for the entire week but you know it's slow so lets cut down hours.
really it should be illegal for an employer to cut ones hours down to next to nothing per week especially with the cost of living these days.
What do you all think? you feel job searching just feels like a waste of time out of anticipation of either outright being denied or getting screwed over in the long run?
