Still haven't gone fully digital yet (you can still see some scribbly pencil), but I'm excited that these are finally looking like real game OCs.

Lately I've been trying to push my style further - go cleaner, clearer, more intentional. Today feels like a step in the right direction.

Went back to the other anime drawing style and wanted to do some hair studies. Tried again with this one and I feel like it's working better.

Just wanted to get some sketch reps in tonight.

Tried a full pose today. Started out pretty wild but after spending some time in Photopea and a lot of tweaking, I landed in a place I feel good about. Still early days for pushing into poses, but I gotta get those art reps in! 💪

Rough sketch from today. Still playing with structure and stylization. This one's definitely closer to the vibe I want for character designs.

Drew a version of Maka Albarn and realized after I was done that it has kind of a Kanojo mo Kanojo look. Did a couple other versions and felt like they were fun to look at and in some ways I like them more than the full color.

Decided to try drawing Power without using a direct reference. I think it ended up pretty clean!

Crying expression practice. 😭 Went back to Procreate for the first time in a bit. Getting more confident with visual novel-style sprite work.

Starting to push towards digital again, aiming for a style that fits visual novels. With NaNoRenO happening, maybe it's time to dive in with something short and sweet.
