You know something thatās everywhere these days at least here on the internet is everything promoting non ānormalā sexualities or gender preferences. I have to ask doesnāt shouting your sexuality or gender from the rooftops make you the exception and not the norm like you donāt se straight men or women doing that wouldnāt the best way to be acceptable as normal be to not have one month a year where a percentage of the world parades their gender/sexuality around and to just be part of the world because while your gender/sexuality is something that people may pick on everyone has something that could be targeted like that. And well in a paraphrased version of what a certain red echidna once said every time you shout about your gender or sexuality youāre making it the exception and not the status quo.

Hey @pmseymourva this took me a few days to complete let me introduce you to my fan made race (or races since this has a little bit of lore to it and the drawing only represents one of them specifically the Katians) for Cosmic Wonders; the Veni (avian and Gemini combined)
Veni (pronounced Ven-eye)
The Veni are the children of Aether the being that makes up the atmosphere, it had no physical form and when it manifested its spirit form it resembled wind made from an Aurora and could never get close to the land below to Gaia. Wanting more than to just be a sentient life protecting barrier it gave itās very essence to create something that could descend; the Veni.
First were the Atherians created from Aether merging itās form with a variety of eagles and so it could no longer take on a spirit form, Atherians are the most connected to Aether. Like most of the Veni they closely resemble humans in all but skin colour and hair which for Veni is feathers Atherians all having white pointed head feathers. the most common colour among them is sky blue but like all Veni their skin can be almost any colour, Veni call themselves Gemini beings due to the fact that they have two souls a material soul that is who they are and a manifested sibling soul believed to be a fragment of Aether. Atherian Sibling souls when called on turn the Atherianās arms into blue wings with white glowing arrow markings at the tips of the feathers and create a sky blue aura around the userās head with a white glowing mark in the center of the userās forehead it depicts an eagleās head with wings spread out on either side of it.
All Veni have major powers which they access when manifesting their sibling soul and minor powers which they have access to at all times both of which are connected to their type, Atherians have the major power of controlling air pressure allowing them to easily fly without even flapping their wings and to move the air as they please and their minor power is to change their weight meaning if they donāt have access to their sibling soul they can still get to the ground safely
Next were the Aquians this subrace was created when Aether merged itās concept of connection with clouds and rain losing the ability to interact with those on the planet below altogether. Aquians easily relate to other races and are amazing diplomats. The most common skin colours among them are deep blue and sea green and their head feathers are fluffy and white like clouds when dry and become aerodynamic and blue when wet. An Aquianās sibling soul is vaporous and sea green in colour and shaped like a large sea bird and generally surrounds the userās upper body, Aquians have the easiest time flying out of all Veni though they are not fast in the air they can fly for far longer than any other Veni almost as if they are clouds being carried by the air. Also as part of their major power they can breathe underwater while calling on their sibling soul and while in water the aura of the sibling soul is more defined, like all Veni a white glowing mark is visible on an Aquianās forehead when their sibling soul is called on for Aquians it is a pair of upward facing wings that resemble a rain drop. The main major powers of Aquians involves weather manipulation, they donāt use it much but in groups of three or more they can create storms ranging from a minor rainstorm to a devastating cyclone, the third part of their major powers is that they can seemingly transform into water vapour and merge with clouds which lets them enter their settlements within said clouds, their minor powers revolve around fog and mist where they can create illusions within fog the extent of these illusions is that they become basically invisible and they can create shadows within fog. Second last of Aetherās creations are the Katians an odd subrace as Aether combined itās slightly creepy love(creepy because of that kind of awkward long distance staring that makes things no better for anyone when you have a crush) with the wind and dirt of a dust storm doing so it lost itās wonder for the planet it guarded or even for the beauty of those that came from beyond itās veil. The most common skin colour among Katians is a light green with their head feathers generally spiking upwards. Katians are one of the more aggressive of the four Veni races though generally this usually comes out as rivalry between two Katian individuals and the creation of their own unique martial arts in which the arms are only used for blocking and parrying with every attack revolving around kicking, to even be able to fully use the techniques of their martial art you need to have their sibling soul type and abilities. A Katianās sibling soul takes the form of short shield like energy wings around the forearms and thick energy bird legs and feet the colour of this energy is green, the mark that appears on a Katianās forehead when their sibling soul is active is unique because it has no real bird imagery instead it resembles a normal eye with a cat eye pupil superimposed over the normal pupil with what appears to be imagery of a rock within it. The major powers of Katians is a form of essence manipulation with an active sibling soul a Katian can draw life energy from the ground through the bird feet created by their sibling soul then the energy they drew in is magnified and is then released, they could have used it for farming but instead it is part of their martial arts certain techniques involve drawing energy from the earth and sending it as a ground bound wave at the target these ones are simple and are far more effective at close range due to the life energy being sucked right back into the ground, there is also techniques where a Katian draws energy from the ground only to jam the expanded energy into what could be considered a much smaller void then the new amount of life energy this either causes a minor ānot a quakeā in which the opponent or opponents may lose their balance due to the ground shaking(no actual seismic reading have ever been detected from these events) or the energy overflows into a barrier that blocks attacks and pushes the opponent back, a side ability from being able to manipulate essence is that Katians are able to manipulate the essence that makes up their sibling soul, magnifying it like they do with energy from the earth, so far this has lead to a technique that only a few Katians are capable of which is to shoot excess essence at an opponent as wide crescents or rapid fire energy bullets(again both from the feet) as a stable form of ranged attack. The way they use their greater powers has lead to monthly tournaments at the end of which the few farmers among the Katians use the combat grounds to grow their crops due to the extra life essence improving plant growth. The minor powers of the Katians which they also use as part of their martial arts are more situational than the minor powers of other Veni, first of is their petrifying gaze; a Katian can with enough concentration put the body of an individual that looks into the Katianās eyes into a sort of statue stasis, the target can see and hear everything within their normal range of hearing and sight but canāt move due to being encased in stone(again this is more of a stasis so the target wonāt suffocate) through research I have found that this ability has a slightly less potent effect on slimes that have taken on a human shape due to the partial liquid nature of their bodies, a slime would just have to switch how much of their mass is on one side or the other to take on a slow wobbly form of walking or simply tip themselves over and then if their body was in an appropriate position they could slowly role their prison around, it is even less effective if the targeted slime was in their blob form when hit because they can just roll the prison around also
also slimes take about half an hour to no longer be imprisoned, spirits such as the one calling herself Cyana could probably just revert to their energy form to escape leaving the stone shell to crumble, I also doubt that anyone would be able to contain whatever that creature that appears to be a rabbit plushy Is Iām pretty sure it just stays in that form because it likes the moon spirit, Iāve also noted that while golems or any creature already made from a kind of stone seem to become permanently encased their movement isnāt hindered at all and it just becomes a sort of second skin for them until it shatters, machines canāt be petrified for some reason I have no real understanding of the workings behind this, in general Katians arenāt able to fully petrify an opponent during combat due to there not being enough time to focus or calm down so instead they partially petrify their opponent say if they are in one on one combat they would cause partial petrification on the opponentās arms and legs to slow them down or right before landing a kick to the chest the Katian would cause partial petrification on the opponentās chest and then use that stone along with their power to amplify the impact of the kick.
The second part of their minor powers involves the energy wings granted by the Katian sibling soul, they can make the air around their wings denser even to such a degree that it can act as a barrier against physical attacks allowing Katians to parry attackers no matter their weapon and through opponents attacking directly off balance, they also use this ability to glide by making the air under their wings more dense than the air above them(yes they can perform a tatsumki) this allows them to be surprisingly acrobatic in their combat style despite elements of the ground being used in their creation though I guess like a dust storm they are kicked up from the ground but must always settle and come back to the earth. Katians tend to live in barren places building small villages from wood that they somehow find(this has never been explained to me) which is liveable for them because again their tendency to fight and abilities that are used during said fights literally add new life the the Terra firma around them.
The last yet possibly the most important of all of Aetherās creations is the Phoenians who are possibly the most complex in the manner of their creation, Phoenians were created from Aether merging his heart with a bolt of lightning and the burning fragments of a meteorite still falling from the sky this final act of creation stripped Aether of itās very will leaving naught but itās presence and strength which keeps the shield maintained. The most common skin colours among Phoenians are red and orange with their head feathers generally acting like short straight hair. The Phoenian sibling soul takes the form of short flaming energy wings on the arms, a flaming energy bird feather tail emerging from the legs and a vaporous red aura around the head they take great care to only call on their Sibling souls when they absolutely intend to fly as the Phoenian Sibling soul will always propel their users like an active jet engine when the Sibling soul is active, the marking that appears on the middle of a Phoenianās forehead is that of a phoenix with itās wings closed around itself and positioned in the shape of a heart and itās head tilted facing towards the middle of the heart. The Major powers of the Phoenians focus on controlling and absorbing cosmic radiation, they use this during their Patrols where specially trained individuals fly as close as possible to the edge of the Earthās atmosphere and further break up any meteorites that may still be dangerously large the major power works by sucking all the heat possible into the Sibling soul increasing itās power(it can get to the point where the Sibling soul resembles an actual phoenix) the Phoenian either then rams right through the meteorite with their sibling soul protecting them or launches their Sibling soul at the target leaving the Phoenian to fall for a bit before their Sibling soul returns to them(I have to admit that this ability makes me wonder how being half blood elf would effect a Phoenian due to this and the way their minor powers could negate the dangers of an inner fire).
the minor powers of the Phoenians are particularly potent compared to the minor powers of other Veni; they are not just immune to heat and flames but are invigorated and healed by it which has resulted in them living near volcanoes where they bathe in lava, if they could survive being in a place with no oxygen(they canāt) they would probably be able to happily live on the sun, Phoenians also gain strength from intense heat and in circumstances where any other race could not survive due to deadly heat levels Phoenians simply gain a level of strength that is superhuman as the said race calls it.
Finally while there are no more races that I know of yet each race has one special member every ten generations titled as Core Veni due to the belief that they hold the core element given up by the Aether to create their race. These Core Veni have the extraordinary ability to go a step further than the rest of their race and have a single slightly different trait about them that seems to naturally go unnoticed by everyone around them except for their parents.
Katian- the Core Veni of the Katians currently is my friend Samuel the trait they have is a single extra long and sharp tooth that somehow doesnāt affect their talking or eating and when accessing the abilities he has as his raceās Core Veni his arms become draconic wings in a way, he develops a tail and his legs actually become rather thick and strong chicken legs, his arms are able to shape shift to form blades, shields, flight capable wings and arms that are mostly normal except for being draconic. Samuel had to learn a completely different fighting style from the normal Katian martial arts due to what he is among his people though he only has to use it when using his full abilities as a Core Veni.
Phoenian-The current Core Veni of the Phoenians is a young one named Amsal though he prefers to be called Andy. The trait of the Phoenians is a white birth mark on the Core Veniās chest, when using his abilities Andyās Sibling soul emits lightning instead of fire and is far more powerful than a normal Phoenian Sibling soul though I do note that he is still young and has yet to come into his abilities so the extent of his powers are unknown.
Aquians- the current Core Veni of the Aquians is lady Syhrin though she prefers the name Sarah. The trait of the Aquian Core Veni is a slight discolouration in the iris of one of their eyes and when accessing her Core Veni abilities Sarah takes on a sort of part fish, part bird form with wings that appear to be feathered but have fish scales rather than feathers, a fish tail that has feathers replacing the end of the tail and a combination of reflective scales and feathers that go across her body. With this form comes a more profound ability, the ability to connect with others. Sarah uses this ability by singing and those who are close and listen to her singing with intent will see glimmers of her past and possible futures and she will see the same of the listener.
Atherian- finally we reach the Atherians I myself am the Core Veni of my race my name is Arternath but you can call me Arthur. My trait is rather a hindrance; a scar across my back that glimmers red. When I access my Core Veni abilities I become basically a giant bird that resembles a hawk or eagle and I can see all the pain, injuries emotional and physical and the imperfections in a person and I can heal them or worsen them. As a last note on this topic all of us gain a boost to all the powers we would have ordinarily as members of our respective races.
