it literally rips my dick clean off that the only mention of fives in tbb is just a single throwaway line.
He really should have haunted the narrative given *gestures* everything but Lucasfilm Animation did an exorcism I fear

Having so many feelings about Wolfwalkers and how wolves were wiped out of Scotland, Ireland, England and most of Europe due to brutal colonialism and the transition from paganism and living with the land into Christianity. The concept of âGodâs Willâ being used as a license to destroy ecosystems for the sake of damaging agricultural practises that are still being used to this day.
And still there is an endless one sided war against large predators - but especially wild canids. From grey wolves to dingoes, the same narrative of the wild that must be eradicated at all costs persists. That nature must be shaped and forced and bent to our will, instead of working alongside it through regenerative agriculture, non lethal predator deterrence and working with nature.
Nothing highlights the history of colonialism and the damage it has done to our environment the way that the story of the wolf does.
And the story of Wolfwalkers is very explicit in how paganism and, by extension, the Irish people are being ruthlessly suppressed to prevent rebellion and support the English colonial rule.
To the point where the English Lord uses the fear of wolves to control the people and show them that their lands can be taken and tamed by caging a wolf.
Tf2 Is not even a game anymore it's like a shared cultural piece. Like It should be recognized as part of the world heritage list
Brandon Sanderson is so real for playing his first DND character decades ago and then writing a huge series of novels but every time no matter what's happening said DND character also pulls up and is at times stupid OP but also keep being put in Situations and is always around even when he's not entirely plot revelant like that is such insanely real behaviour!!!!
Always a big fan of media where no matter the Situation, That Character is there. Doesnât matter when, where, or how. They are there.
Hence my undying love for Hondo Ohnaka. The fact he never showed in the Bad Batch is a crime
Pros of Spliced!Bad Batch: Better reflexes, keener senses, stronger instincts
Cons: That instinct causes them to bring⊠so many little dead things to proudly display/try to teach their SO to hunt. Itâs sweet/thoughtful but⊠rather disturbing
Magic system where magic is treated like work in 19th-century England. Magic is something that everyone is naturally able to do, and you can learn different skills and do certain tasks with it, but it's tiring and wears out the body.
Lower class people use magic all the time--it's necessary for survival--and they're hired to do magic for the upper classes, whether they're working the fields, hiring out their magic for factory work, or working as a maid in an upper class home. Gentlemen are allowed to use magic in a few specific "refined" occupations.
Upper-class ladies are allowed to do almost no magic, except for tiny decorative uses--magic is "low", and using it too much destroys your status in society. Upper-class ladies also regularly go insane from "magic hysteria". Some women are starting to notice this and are arguing for women to be allowed to do healthy amounts of magic. Other people find this idea coarse and unfeminine.
The world and story would be shaped by what the magic actually does (so there's a reason to write this as fantasy rather than pure historical fiction). I'm sure there have to be plenty of stories like this already, but it's still an interesting framework.
Introducing Hunter!
Hunter is the oldest of his brothers by the manner of minutes, but that is a fact he cannot forget. He takes this arbitrary responsibility seriously, using his senses and street smarts to protect his family. His WhÄnau. Thus, the death of their parents weighed on his heart the heaviest. As the son of New Zealand immigrants but born and raised in the Bronx, he struggled to maintain his familyâs identity as he took the role of their new leader.
Upon being drafted in 1942 (along with the rest of his brothers), he was forced to leave his baby sister, Omega, behind. She was the person he felt most obligated to protect, and now a forced duty came in between them. His loyalty to his family proved he was the natural fit for Sargent when Captain Rex pulled the four brothers into the 99th OSS, also known as The Bad Batch. They were a specialized team tasked with specialized missions, receiving orders directly from General Skywalker. Hunter lead the team to many successes, but his greatest accomplishment was bringing his brothers home safe when the war ended.
Civilian life was an adjustment after that. With Omega as his priority, he opted for a part time position as a cook at the Copacabana. This allowed him to spend time with his sister by day, and be surrounded by his brothers at night. A part of their team once again.
