SHURI “I’m sure you did your best.”
“The FINAL GIRL is a trope in horror films (particularly slasher films). It refers to the last girl or woman alive to confront the killer, ostensibly the one left to tell the story. The FINAL GIRL has been observed in many films, including The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Halloween, Alien, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Scream. The term was coined by Carol J. Clover in her book Men, Women, and Chainsaws: Gender in the Modern Horror Film (1992). Clover suggested that in these films, the viewer began by sharing the perspective of the killer, but experienced a shift in identification to the final girl partway through the film.”
why when able bodied fans draw canonically disabled chair-user characters do they have the abled partner sitting on their lap? i would kill someone if they touched my cane or sat on me in my chair
THIS SHIT IS INFINITELY MORE ROMANTIC THAN SITTING ON TOP OF YOUR DISABLED PARTNER. THE TENDERNESS INVOLVED IN HOLDING YOUR PARTNERS HAND, IN BEING CONSIDERATE OF THEIR SPACE, IN MAKING SURE THEY FEEL SAFE AND LOVED. i’m not going to go as far as saying stop having able bodied people sit on top of their disabled partners but know i’m disabled and would never consider it. i would absolutely get hurt
i hold the same viewpoint on able bodied partners carrying their disabled partner for no reason. my body is a fragile thing, easily broken. it has to be protected even from people with the best intentions. meet me at my level instead of taking me to yours
abled allies can and should reblog this
y’all…“storm area 51, they can’t stop all of us” was only 8 months ago. that’s no time at all. i really thought it was like 2 years ago. like if a child was conceived on the day they “stormed area 51,” it probably wouldn’t even be born yet. these past five years have been the longest century of my life.

how do I find a fic that’s exactly like the one I’ve just read but also different
^^^reasons why writers shouldn’t be worried about using the same tropes/concept/plot that’s been done before
Mind blown
me: *reads 55 fanfics with the same pairing and the same au* also me: another one? pls??

can we not mock bi girls for liking men as if any part of their sexuality is shameful in the year of our lord 2019
anyone else think bi ppl should pick a side
anyone else think misogyny is bad and respecting women is important
As a lesbian, I try to stay clear of bi women. Mostly because idk. It feels wrong to put love on a spectrum. It can almost be misleading to be honest. I’ve been rejected by bi women because idk they really weren’t that into women or because they lean towards men more. I think we should make terms for people who lean more towards one side so no one is misled. Anyway, what do I know. I’ll probably get yelled at for saying all that but whatever.
Someone not being into you doesn’t mean they’re not into women…….
Wow this is the most biphobic thing I’ve seen on Tumblr for a while
If you think bi women should pick a side, then go unfollow me. If you think bi men should pick a side, go unfollow me. If you think bi women should pick a side, go unfollow me. Biphobia is not respected here.
