Monotyping without paintbrushes demonstration.
Back in a dark room thanks to student teaching.. With music as my muse.
Here is my first hand built pot that I finished a few months back. I put a clear glaze on it too, it came out looking killer.
Yo whattup 7.5 foot table?!

Thesis #character #doodle. One of my favorites. #drawing #moleskin #art (Taken with Instagram)
So, I'm supposed to do 50 drawings for Forum based on my thesis idea which I think I've finally come up with. But of course this one is my favorite and it has nothing to do with thesis... figures.
Into the Void (Shanna R. Taub) Aquatint Etching
8” x 10”
This print is the result of an exchange portfolio (edition of 18) in my spring 2012 etching class. We all chose names at random, and I got my friend Shanna! The topic was portraits, and I chose to render one of Shanna’s deep sea divers (as seen in her prints), and added my own style to it.
ANDY MOELLER'S KICK ASS ETCHING BASED ON MY WORK. I couldn't be happier to have such a wonderfully talented friend use my work as inspiration. Whatta guy! and whatta print! Check his work out, it's awesome.
Apologies
I'm so so so sorry Tumblr. I meant for this summer to include a never-ending blog sesh that included all work from the past year. I recently lost my little orange USB and as I go crazy trying to look for it, I realize many of the scanned versions of my images do not exist on my lappy. I'm freaking out. Maybe soon I'll update with my most recent sketches as I tare my room apart looking for the smallest USB known to man.
Wish me luck.
This was for the text and image assignment. I was a having a conversation with my father on the ride to school and we passed a solar powered street light in which he asked "Isn't that some sort of oxymoron? It's like having a water powered sprinkler! or a wind powered fan!" Bam! Print idea. Rimer took my best one for the print archive sadly... -____-
"What Would You Do?" Fall 2011
Appropriated image from my basic darkroom photo class. The project was to take a photographer to influence a series of prints... I used Francesca Woodman. Check her out, she's awesomely creepy. I took some great pictures too, I need to scan them still.
That's my girl Leah. I took a really macabre picture and turned it into something fun. That was the gist of this, really. I have a ton of these.
"Untitled" Fall 2011
Okay, so this was the first project from my Fall semester silkscreen class. I really just did it because I had drawn a ton of clocks over the summer for some reason and I wanted to get back into the swing of things with something fairly simple that explored the use of trans-base to achieve other colors. I added a Star Wars pun for shits and giggles.
"Jedi Mind Clocks" Fall 2011
So sometime last fall, I began drawing these little ghosts on evvvvvrything. And I had a friend who has photographed a boat graveyard in Staten Island that I thought would be perfect for my CMYK project and he gladly gave me some pictures to appropriate. Thanks, Matty (click this link for his Flickr, he's super talented). Anyway, some girl bought two of these at our last print sale! She said she was going to hang them on her ceiling so when she woke up, they'd be there to make her happy about living. hahaha.
Anyway, here are some variations. "Pirates!" Fall 2011
I finished these today for the up-coming most exciting part of my summer, Firefly Arts Collective. This year, both Cara and my friend Jess Shada are coming. I can't wait, you don't even know.
