stop using chatgpt!!!! take a bronze pin and carve your questions onto an ox scapula, then toss it into the fire!!!! use the cracks to divine the gods answer!!!!
citations still have to be APA 7th edition though. if you plagiarise, the gods will flood the yellow river again. and you'll lose your academic standing.

“my father is a boy and my mother is a girl so i’m mixed” is the funniest possible response to someone asking your gender and it came from 6’5 Viking footballer and notable weird little guy Erling Haaland on a Snapchat
comedians can only dream of writing something this funny
So the thing is boobs really do be jiggling. If having breasts has taught me anything it is that the ladies frolic. I don't even have that large of boobs but every time I go down some stairs all I can think about is that stupid quote about boobing breastily down the stairs or whatever it is because God Damn.
But anime and video game boob jiggling is like. The most uncanny valley shit I've ever seen nine times out of ten. You would think people this horny about tits would have actually looked at some but I guess not.
What we really need is some pervert to compile the ultimate visual guide to boob bouncing physics that's just like 500 hours of meticulously organized videos of breasts of different size and shape and under different fabrics bouncing around from a wide variety of physical movements so horny game devs can finally get it right and I don't have to be creeped out by women who appear to have surgically implanted softballs in their chest under skin made of rubber bands.
Yea, see, the thing, I think, is somebody needs to model the internal structure of the boob. Boobs are elastic, but not homogenous: there’s different kinds of tissue, and internal structure, and they all have slightly different moduli of deformation, because, like, connective tissue and fatty tissue and glands and such all jiggle but not in precisely the same ways, y’know; obviously it’s not a ball under the skin or a hemisphere of Jell-o but I think most folks really underestimate the complexity of the underlying structure like
Lookit that shit man that’s a whole cellular superstructure right there we’re never gonna get the physics right if we’re not accounting for variable moduli of deformation is all I’m sayin
This the report that JK Rowing doesn't want you to see. This report scares her so much that she is trying to destroy Amnesty International, a human rights organization, to stop you reading it:
Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their fundin
(Amnesty already pulled the report because of JKR's threats. Of course that didn't and won't stop her - capitulating to fascists and bigots is never the answer. Alejandra captured the report and posted it, so you can read what JKR doesn't want you to know.)
Bluesky thread is a lot of screenshots (which I find impossible to cope with), but if you scroll far enough down, there's a link to the full pdf:
My good folks? Please stop reblogging this with incitements to violence. If you do, I will assume you are a terf fedposting, and report and block you as such.
pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.
Good news, everyone! Encountered a kind of library book damage today that I've never seen before!

so this guy right he makes ancient egyptian themed furry costumes. he makes all kinds but mostly he specializes in Horus heads. it's his passion really. he loves to make the beautiful falcon head of the Sun God. anyway so he's at a con one day and he sees this whole bunch of people in middle kingdom dress with these indistinguishable animal heads. he's like. oh man these folks could really use a new source, i can hardly tell what animal those are! so he goes over and he says "hey guys! i see you are into ancient egyptian mythological themed furry costumes--if any of you are interested in being the radiant Son of Ra, I am the BEST in the business!"
and the group of people look at each other, then at him. awkward. finally one of them says: "uh. no thanks. we're all Set."
This has been sent to me four times today, so I'm condemning OP to be judged by the 42 and fall into Nuun.
I think every laugh will make OP’s heart a bit lighter.

Judge OP’s heart
I laughed, I lighten his heart.
His heart shall be heavier for this.

there's something so deeply dystopian to me how tech companies don't understand that a forced convenience is not a convenience at all. i'm sure autocorrect is helpful for many, but a function that forcibly changes my actual written words and punctuation is taking away my language. photo filters can be nice but i need to choose using them myself or else i have lost the ability to take the picture i want. i don't want a machine to draw or write for me. taking away the option for me to do things manually feels like violence!!!! all this talk of endless opportunity, why are you RESTRICTING me

A 75 yo man proudly came into the cafe wearing an Ultra Maga hat. I excused my barista from the register to handle the transaction.
"The hat is customizable," he said, struggling with the velcro patch on the front. "If I need it, I have an ICE one too. I pick based off the business i walk into."
"Customizable is an important hat descriptor," I said. "what can I get you?"
"You wouldn't believe how offended people get these days," he said. "And I'm supposed to do something about it if you're offended? You chose to be offended!"
"We all have hundreds of thousands of decisions everyday," I said. I thickened my accent. "That's what my stepdad always said. But I can make one easier - we have a delicious Ethiopian roast available."
"Like if I told you you have a bull ring," he said, "because bulls have rings in their noses. Is that offensive?"
I laughed. "I've heard that before."
"It's a joke, but people get offended. Maybe you're offended."
I looked at him. I smiled. "You aren't trying to offend me though, right?"
Of course he was. I was being friendly and the friendlier I was, the faster he switched topics. He was saying anything inflammatory he could think of to see if I'd take the bait. After about 20 minutes of my redirecting and deescalating, he settled into a more normal interaction. He took up too much of my time showing me a product I'd feigned mild interest in to get him to stop talking about getting accused of inappropriate behavior at work. When we finally disengaged, he spent 10 minutes trying to catch my eye again. When he failed, he left.
There's this new breed of customer who insists on trying to incite political conversation through their clothing and, when that doesnt work, their snide little comments. If I owned my own business, maybe I would have given the guy the fight he wanted. But I work for a corporation and I love paying my bills so I deescalated.
Anyone wearing that type of shit and preying on workers for their own spank bank material is a brainless fucking sheep.
something i want to mention because i’ve seen it growing as a trend online is that not only do people do this just for their own gratification, but watch for glasses. smart glasses are a growing segment of the consumer market, and creeps like this are harassing people in public in order to gather content without the victims being aware they’re being filmed
good job on how you handled it, op!
Whenever I'm reading about historical intra-Jewish conflict, I imagine how those discourses and confrontations would have looked if they had occurred not via the political and ideological press, but via tumblr, instagram, tiktok, and the twitter diaspora.
It sounds funny, silly even, but whenever Jews disagree in this context, it's never entirely about the disagreement; it's about feelings of betrayal over fellow Jews thinking, acting, perceiving, and behaving differently. It's about feelings of insecurity borne of second-guessing your own perspectives. It's about that deep-seated fear, that if That One Group behaves improperly, it will bring the rage of the gentiles down upon us all.
The American Jewish community is in a....profoundly disunited state right now, and we're being deeply toxic to each other on social media; I assume you've seen my own interactions here, in which my coreligionists accuse me of engaging in blood libel and ignoring/downplaying the genocidal violence Hamas imposed on Israeli and other civilians on 10/7/23. It's so easy to take it personally. To get mad. To think "omg please don't post that where the non-Jews can see it now they're going to hate us even more!" But being a modern Jewish historian allows me to take a step back, and remind myself: Jews have never agreed on how to do Judaism in diaspora. We have never even fully agreed on how to do it not in diaspora, but under the governance of a larger empire (see: Chanukah deep lore). This is a normal, established aspect of our historical continuum, and being part of that makes me neither a Good Jew nor a Bad Jew, but just another individual, contributing however I can to this eternal discourse.
It's easy to make "hurrr two Jews three opinions!" jokes, and I have/do. But those jokes aren't the result of some inherent Jewish proclivity towards internecine disagreements; they reflect instead of wide variety of factors Jews must take into account every day as we engage with the rest of the world as a lobal minority.
When I see a post about the history of, say, the genocide of Bosnian Muslims in the 90s, and a fellow Jewish person posts OH GOOD WE'RE TALKING ABOUT AN ACTUAL GENOCIDE in response. My first feelings are those of overwhelming fear and embarrassment. Because the gentile who see that will store it in the rhetorical ammo they deploy against all of us.
I am simultaneously living the patterns of Jewish history, while observing their longevity. It's weird, but cool. I think.
Non-Jews are welcome to interact with this post. This is not a jumblr post, but the personal reflections of a public scholar who both exists within and studies the history of her own ethno-religious group. Please simply refrain from condescension, -splaining, historical erasure, and blood libel/global Jewish hivemind rhetoric.

Perhaps this is an obnoxious take on my part, but video games should, above all things, prioritize the ability of being paused. At any point. Regardless of whether it's during a cutscene, a special animation, or a time-based puzzle. You never know when you're gonna get a phone call, or someone will need you in another room, or you get a sudden urge to go to the bathroom, or you hear your cat licking plastic, or whatever. Other entertainment mediums like books, movies, and music can be paused whenever you want. Why do some games not give you the same luxury??
