Alicent is Otto’s Son that has to carry on his bloodline. Gwayne is the actual son who is being treated like an unattractive Spinster daughter that he can’t marry off so she might as well help raise her brother’s children

i see this moment is the start of grrm blog crash out last year

When I saw that god awful scene of daemon and rhaena and noticed the landscape of the vale and the sheep herder in the mountains I realize this is the moment grrm crashed out last year and started that sitting sheeps don't belong in the vale blog. Grrm has said that daemon and nettles are one of his fav characters so much he wants to do a novella for her and makes sure to commission her in every official art work of fire and blood and gives deep descriptions on daemons personality. So I know when he saw that script or maybe footage? He lost it.

Anyways Book Rhaena was beloved by everyone living a soft life in the vale, she didn't need a dragon to be cunning and in the end she got the last dragon before Daenerys targeryen . And nettles though orphaned used her intelligence to tame a wild dragon something no one has ever done and claimed a dragon as a non targ which was shatters daemon mind later on, anyways spending time with daemon and house moonton she became very beloved by them as well to the point they turned again rhaneyra and declared for the greens.

But instead rhaena is neither of these things, she's unloved, isolated, depressed and just ugh (also she didn't feed him sheep! He fed her, did they forget how they wrote it?!)

Im not gonna pretend race isnt why both characters went the way they did once committed to film. Ryan and Sarah may pretend they are inclusive but they are just as disgusting , racist and anti woman as someone whos more honest..

i deeply dislike the angle the hotd writers have invented where apparently everyone has open disdain for the sneaky, no-good, treacherous hightowers when thats far from the truth. westerosi catholicism is the dominant religion of the entire continent and that predates the doom. as far as the faith and the majority of westeros is concerned, dragons have brought nothing but war and its fallout to the realm so im not exactly a fan of this idea of the targaryens having to assimilate to westeros and that andal culture ruined them when old valyria was a slave empire. the faith allowed them multiple exceptions. the fanfare of playing into this dynasty despising the faith is why rhaenys and her stupid dragon got shot down over morocco

"dance of the dragons is a fight between rhaenyra and her half-brother aegon for control of the seven kingdoms" but in s1 they made it rhaenyra vs alicent, in s2 it was rhaenyra vs aemond, and it seems that in s3 it will be rhaenyra vs ormund. like. my god. they are making her beefing with everyone else EXCEPT aegon 😭 meanwhile they are making aegon beefing with his OWN BROTHER. what is this show
