Brightheart is one of my favorite characters in Warriors, and as a kid I drew her a lot. There’s this one piece of art that I have of her that I have now remade twice!

I’ve always imagined bristlefrost taking Ashfur into the water gracefully and determined. But I never thought she might have been angry, frustrated, betrayed or even hesitant.

I recall in the book, she’s quite willing to do this, but I like to think now that she put all her anger and emotion into holding Ashfur in her claws, kicking him into the depths of the voidful water, in the end, to only allow all that anger finally turn into her love for Rootspring
