my thesis writing is winding down. it has been an extremely long and debilitating process. i have put myself and my writing skills down a lot along the way because i feel like nothing i have written has measured up to the expectations placed upon me, submitting something for *the* university of oxford.

but i want to tell myself now that i have done a good job. i have picked up a topic that i knew nothing about and read reams of literature that i would not have been comfortable with a year ago. i have gotten up at 5am to work on it, and have stayed up working on it well into the night. 

you’ve worked so hard on this, please stop tearing yourself down. it is good. it is fine. you should be proud. you should be so proud. you have made it to the end of this degree and you deserve to hold your head up.
