This Russian song makes me think of Lan Zhan. His story, his scars, his feelings.

I spent a really long time trying to figure out what exactly to present as the main idea. The scars of love, Lan Zhan's kind of jealous, possessive feelings that look like streaks of color on a white background.

Or maybe how his love looks from the outside, to say, Uncle Qiren - like something dark and painful on something that used to be pure.

But along the way, I realized something. All of this is part of Lan Wangji's story. And all of it will be into this sketch.

Wei Ying will keep living with that burden and feel guilty, because... You know.. This is Wei Ying. And that also leaves some streaks on the background.

Modern Wei Ying as a high schooler who was dared by Wen Chao. Wei Ying went into the woods and hasn't been seen since. This video was the last thing on his cloud drive.

This is my first attempt at adding a bit of animation to my drawing. It's full of flaws, but I like how it turned out. Hope I can get better at this in the future 🙏🙏

Once, I drew Wen Ning in a Modern AU with the idea that he spent his teenage years hanging out with Wei Ying and, as a result, fell in love with chains, piercings, and other unconventional things (at least in his older sister's opinion): this post

And it occurred to me to use my free time to come up with little sketches. For something like this, I love making small reference sheets. I don't know how much time it will take for even one idea to form in my head, but it's worth a try. Right?

where Wen Ning spent his teenage years with a bolshy (Wei Wu Xian). Since then, he's had a piercing and big love for chains. (He's not going to change that. No one knows how unhappy his sister is about this fact)
