The only way for a pirate to make a living these days is by betraying other pirates.
*Appears out of thin air, a trick she learned from Tia Dalma* "Hello there"
"Sea witch!" the pirate jumped back, unsheathing her sword to swing wildly at the space in front of her where the woman suddenly appeared.
"Don’t worry dear" she looked down at her feet for a moment after realising that she had scared the pirate. "I am no witch"
"Who be ya, then?" Heather still held her sword before her, eyes never leaving the disappearing woman's face.
Barbossa always had a way of speaking that kept Elizabeth enthralled, and now was no exception. She had never given much thought to what had made Barbossa the pirate she was today, but now that she was fully submersed in the world of piracy, learning as much as she could about the pirates around her seemed the best course of action. Not only that, but she had to admit that she was a bit more curious about the captain that had gone from ruthless enemy to surprisingly decent acquaintance over time.
She wasn’t disappointed with the explanation she received. It was impressive, frankly, just how much Barbossa had accomplished by her own means; Elizabeth couldn’t deny that she admired her for it. “I take it, then, that you’ve never regretted your decision?” She smiled knowingly, arms crossed over her torso. “There aren’t many who would be half so courageous.”
"It wasn't courage. I did what I had to. I believe that there is that one thing we have in common, Lizzie; we have always been pirates at heart. There wasn't another route for me. Was there for ya?"
//would anyone like to plot?
Hunter comes to town// closed
It had been another slow day at the Perle Noir Nautical Museum. Every day was a slow day at this point. Heather sighed with defeat as the probably last visitor of the day hurriedly escaped out the door, obviously not impressed with the old ship relics. She didn't get it. The historical artifacts in this room alone told centuries old tales of plunder, battle, and ship wreck off the coast of Florida that never failed to make her wish to pick up a cutlass and begin her own journey of sailing the seven seas. Mind beginning to wander among pirate ships and parrots, she leaned back against a glass case holding old gold coins from the ocean bottom with a dreamy grin spread across her face.
When the bell announcing a new patron to the museum rang piercingly, Heather jumped and attempted to get into tour guide mode. "Welcome to the Perle Noir Nautical Museum, home of artifacts from such historic ships as the HMS Fowey, Nuestra Señora de Atocha, and the ill-fated Atocha! Would you like a tour of our exhibits?"

There were two pirates and she could now see that they did not have to be in such a rush to hide as the men were two enthralled with their loud argument. How do men ever manage to accomplish anything, always bickering, Heather chuckled to herself.
"Do you think they know about the map?" Bonny whispered to her sister, trying and failing at doing so quietly. She hoped the Spanish were too busy bickering to notice.
She flinched at the volume of the girl's inquiry, turning to glare at Bonny and roll her eyes dramatically as the Spaniards suddenly became silent and motioned to each other to check the area for the voice. As the two walked carefully along opposite sides of the trail they had blazed, swords drawn, her face morphed from irked at her sister towards concentration on what they could do next.
Into The Woods sentence meme
"I wish."
"Careful the things you say."
"Don’t you know what’s out there in the world?"
"Someone has to shield you from the world."
"Stay a child while you can be a child."
"Stay at home. I am home."
"I was raised to be charming, not sincere."
"Slotted spoons don’t hold much soup."
"I want a friend. And a pet."
"The prettier the flower, the farther from the path."
"Sometimes the things you most wish for are not to be touched."
"You’re so nice. You’re not good; you’re not bad; you’re just nice."
"No, you are not to come."
"Will you please go home!"
"I can capture my own damsel, thank you."
"The harder to get, the better to have."
"Dwarves are very upsetting."
"What I want most of all is to know what I want."
"Opportunity is not a lengthy visitor."
"What’s the good of being good when everyone else is blind, and you’re always left behind?"
"Everyone tells tiny lies."
"Nice is different than good."
"Agony! Far more painful than yours!"
"I’m no longer a child!"
"Anything can happen in the woods."
"May I kiss you?"
"I’m in the wrong story!"
"Best to take the moment present as a present from the woods."
"But if life were only moments, then you’d never know you had one."
"I’m not good. I’m not nice. I’m just right."
"The farther you run, the more you feel un-defined."
"Someone is on your side."
"I need your shoe to have a child!"
"Sorry, I only tell the story. I’m not a part of it."
"If it were up to you, a decision would never have been made."
"Because of the way you treated me, I’ll never, never be happy!"
"I was just trying to be a good mother."
"You look just like the princess… only dirty."
"Stop asking me questions I can’t answer!"
"My love, why so cold?"
"Why, if you loved me, would you have strayed?"
"I am only human."
"Leave? But I do love you."
"I shall always love the maiden that ran away."
"Is that what you really wish?"
"Stay with me."
"Who out there could love you more than I?"

~how much of a mess I've made~
The person who I reposted this from has a cute blog so you should probably check it out.
*Appears out of thin air, a trick she learned from Tia Dalma* "Hello there"
"Sea witch!" the pirate jumped back, unsheathing her sword to swing wildly at the space in front of her where the woman suddenly appeared.
- Barbossa. Marry us.
- I’m a little busy at the moment.
- Barbossa, now.
- Fine, then.
There was a ghost of a smile on Elizabeth’s lips as she turned to her companion. She couldn’t help but remember something that had been said a while back: Dying is the day worth living for. Apparently it was a philosophy that she hadn’t given up on. Barbossa’s philosophies were always much different from any of the ones Elizabeth had heard growing up, and yet she had to admit that they made a bit more sense.
"How inspired," she commented quietly, though she gave an appreciative nod. "How did you get into piracy in the first place? If I might ask."
Not one to often share details from her past, the pirate frowned slightly before deciding to open up with her. They had been through enough together, although not always as friends. "My fate has always been my own. I raised myself, fed myself, entertained myself, and taught myself most everything I know. Also decided to leave a town that offered me nothing by myself to live on the sea where I could be anyone and have everything I ever desired."
Heather could see the small dirty child she had been through her eyes now, every day and every night feeling the gnawing pain of hunger in her gut, yet managing to ignore it when she looked out at the ocean. The peace that curling waves against a stony beach had brought the girl that had nothing. The hope of new life that danced just along the horizon. Just out of reach of her fingertips. "It was an easy choice, really."
" 'ello Queenie...did you miss me?"
"With the utmost certainty, Miss Barbossa, I can give you a straight answer." Regina growled, not even wishing to grant the pirate of her direct gaze, "No. Now, before you stand around too long and stink up my throne room, tell me why it is you’ve come crawling back.
shesgoodandlost
With her palace now free of unwanted guests, and odors, Regina abandoned her throne room and retreated to her chambers. From there, she laid down upon her fainting couch while summoning up her magic mirror; she’d create a prime viewing spot to watch the drama unfold.
"Show me the pirate." she said plainly, and the man trapped in her looking glass complied without hesitation. He revealed to her the one-legged Captain, standing idle in the middle of the Dark One’s castle.
"Rumpel..shtilt….skin?"
“That’s not how you say it.” The Queen mumbled to herself, dwelling on her similar mistake when she had taken the name from Cora’s spellbook.
It was only a matter of time before the imp poofed up to correct the pirate— that would present the perfect opportunity for the woman to end his life. One quick stab in the chest, and it was over; with Heather keeping to their deal, Regina would gain insurmountable power in the moments that would follow.
Oh, what a day this would be.
The pirate was on high alert for any sign of movement, muscles tense, especially along her right arm which held the now slightly quivering knife. It wasn't that Heather was frightened, she had fought more intimidating foes than a lizard man with a poor temper, but the blade itself was vibrating slightly as if in response to the call of its master.
The first hint of an appearance was a momentary trickle of purple smoke across the floor in the corner of her eye, but before she could turn a small explosion seemed to detonate and she was thrown across the room. The man she had been seeking slowly stepped out of a cloak of the same purple smoke with a smirk on his face as she slipped frantically on the slick floor in order to stand up, somehow having managed to keep her grip of the dagger. Breathing heavily and the fight not even started yet, Heather managed to discreetly tuck the dagger into her belt behind her back praying that this Dark One had been to preoccupied with his excessive theatrics.
"Rumplstiltskin, I presume?" she kept her voice steady and expression as neutral as possible while her mind flipped through a dozen options on how to get close enough to sink the small dagger into his heart.
"Yes, dearie," the man reached up his right hand and snapped, disappearing from her view for a split second only to reappear inches from her face with his mouth contortated in a sinister grin, "that's me."
Heather stifled a scream, TOO CLOSE TOO CLOSE TOO CLOSE
Heather was uncharacteristically nervous. Her usually thick shell that protected her emotions had taken a hit at the glimpse of their face, and it took all her strength to not break down into tears right then and there. But the pirate instead took a deep breath and stepped into the ship’s cabin.
"Its okay Sistah, dere are somethings in life we must do. You are a woman of courage, it will all be okay"
"Jack, you black-hearted bastard..." as she walked into the room, the pirate removed her hat and placed it against her breast in respected, locking eyes with the woman already at Jack's side; Isabel, was it? She inhaled deeply to gain control of her emotions, muttering more curses at Sparrows still and cold body while exhaling.
Seeing the question in the look Bonny gave her, Heather leaned towards her ear to whisper, “More Spanish pirates. Secure the map.” Desperately hoping that her little sister hadn’t misplaced the one clue they had towards finding the treasure, the pirate scuttled forward and crouched down behind the undergrowth that lined the path, gesturing for the other girl to follow her example before the other pirates got around the path’s corner.
Bonny quickly ran her hands over her pockets, and when she knew the map was there, she nodded and followed her sister. The last people she wanted to have this map were the Spanish, considering all of the gold they were rumored to have found in recent time.
There were two pirates and she could now see that they did not have to be in such a rush to hide as the men were two enthralled with their loud argument. How do men ever manage to accomplish anything, always bickering, Heather chuckled to herself.
Mutinous First Mate ~ shesgoodandlost
His ship had never been the same without his first mate, Robby Green. While Jack had had several fill the position just to keep it occupied, some part of him still hoped his first mate would return to sail the seven seas as they had for so long. He knew Robby was better off, wherever he was. he had a feeling the kid had found that wife, had those babies, and become a parishioner after all. Jack sincerely hoped he had.
Recruiting a new first mate always caused old memories to surface. Jack had never been able to find anyone quite like Robby. For all his Bible thumping, he had been a good hand, and a great friend. Jack made a mental note to scope out a few churches the next time he was in England, and see if they were his. It would be good to pay his old friend a visit.
The next person cleared his- her, Jack noticed -throat, bringing the Captain back to the present. “And what have you to offer the crew of the Pearl?” Jack asked her without anymore delay.
Peering out from under the drooping brim of her large hat, Heather eyed the pirate warily. She came straight off the HMS Wrath where she had so long been commissioned by the British Royal Navy under the guise of a young cabin boy. Chest still heaving from her sprint from the dock into the nearest tavern, she was quite anxious to find position on a pirate ship before her superior officers discovered her desertion or even worse:
Before I change my mind.
"Five years in the British Navy, passion for sailing on the open sea, and a sword arm strong enough to knock a man's head from their shoulders," she grinned shamelessly, this was her dream. This felt right.
