Merlin’s magic was for Arthur, so do any of you think that after The Battle of Camlann Merlin stopped using his magic for a long time? Then when he finally did use his it he only used it out of necessity?

great suggestion, @epic-sorcerer
@merlinswizardhat and @sneakyboymerlin you’re so right
Fem!Merlin but this time I gave her a hat
Inspired by @nerdytomboy4562's comment on my merlin request post!
Couldn´t stop thinking about this post by @nadiajustbe (YOU AGAIN ❤️)
~Some time later when Frodo figures out Sam uses flower language to express his feelings:
when the really good fic author only has 1 story for each of their 35 fandoms. see you in another life brother.
this world did not deserve you
I love the implication that Rory had taken interest in guys, amyrory bi4bi is so real
How often you think about Sam being canonically incredibly gentle when unbuttoning Frodo's tunic to take the Ring. How often do you think about Sam being tender and careful with Frodo even when he thinks he's dead, even when he thinks nothing can change that. How often do you think about Sam treating what he thinks is Frodo's body with utmost softness, as if he's sacred, as if he's alive and can be hurt.
Because I think about it all the time.
an interest passing feels like being abandoned by the evil spirit that had taken possession of your body
pulling out hanks of grass and sighing listlessly. i kind of miss being posessed. isn't there an evil spirit somewhere that wants to possess meeee
four line sentences are good and okay. its cool. you dont need to end your setnence or that thought! add another comma or an em dash. everything will be okay. it makes sense and flows well. #awesome #mybehemothsentence
calling for more f/m ships because ‘oh it’s representing women more’ is a little telling tbh. bc these people clearly only view fandom through shipping and cannot conceive of simply appreciating female characters on their own merits. instead, they must be uplifted and represented through their relationship with a man. fascinating
No joke I was the only one who noticed that the lake of Avalon is a grassland in the modern day and I didn’t say anything because so many people in this fandom are emotionally dependent on the imagery of Arthur rising from a lake.
The idea that I expressed to @fishoutofcamelot and @witchcraft–and–wizardry last night is that Arthur sits up from his grave and immediately goes rolling down this hill at full momentum. It’s Merlin’s first genuine laugh in decades.
OKAY OKAY BUT
I’ve been here (Glastonbury Tor) and what happens is mist rolls in. Y’know, the famous “mists of Avalon”? And the mist makes it look LIKE THE LAKE IT WAS IN MEDIEVAL TIMES
But do you know what this phenomenon is called in real life??
It’s called a FATA MORGANA
Real photo!! There’s your lake. Conjured back into existence by the mist when Arthur returns
#okay I actually love the image of Arthur Gwen and the knights emerging from the mists WAY more than them walking sopping wet out of the lake @sneakyboymerlin
Okay, same?? The Mists of Avalon is a well-known King Arthur story (even if the author is… not great). I think the mist imagery it just super cool and since the Isle is supposedly the final resting place of the Holy Grail/Cup of Life as well, it could be using that that Arthur returns
There’s also this lovely well there in the Chalice Well Gardens next door
The symbol with two circles is 2 realms–our realm, and the Sidhe realm–and the line through the middle is Excalibur. I headcanon Freya can be summoned from here!
Arthur, waking up:
