Hello and welcome to my shifting blog ! This is my little archive for all kinds of stuff that can be said about my desired realities and a place where I would love to find shifters with fellow interests. I discovered shifting in 2019 via subliminals and amino (RIP), but I've only started actually shifting once I applied the law of assumption. Echoes from the crossroads °•

At the Perekhrestya, where the boundaries of reality blur, exist fragments of dimensions known as Echoes — though some wayfarers also call them Mirages, Mists, or Living Memories (or simply mémories, with the emphasis on the first syllable).

They aren't realms in the true sense, but rather fragments of memory — shards of what once was or what is yet to be.

Some are vibrant and teeming with life, serving as traveler hubs where hostels, markets, and a tapestry of diverse cultures intertwine (truly magnificent places to visit, especially during festival times). Others are nothing more than ruins.

Among these are the ghost towns, desolate apocalypses that Daniel finds so alluring. He is a frequent phantom in these silent urban jungles, wandering through the hushed corridors of a world that ended long ago. Here, steel skyscrapers are strangled by thick canopies of emerald flora, their glass facades shattered like fallen stars. In these places, the only inhabitants are the lingering ghosts of the past, drifting through streets where the wind sounds like a heavy sigh.

Yet, while Daniel seeks solace beneath the shadowed vines of the dead world, those who stumble into the Echoes of magical ruins face a different kind of company.

There, amidst the fractured enchantments and the dying glow of debris, travelers frequently encounter the flickering, mischievous grins of the Twins, watching from the edge of the light. No one at Perekhrestya understands how they locate these forgotten places, let alone how they manage to appear at the exact moment a traveler enters. One might think this is the peculiar magic of the Diamonds: to know the unknowable and to be exactly where they are least expected.

The White City °•

The Echo that both fascinates and haunts me most is the White City. It appears frequently on the paths of travelers, but it seems to have a particular affinity for mine.

Even in its abandonment, the ruins of this ivory-brick settlement retain a defiant, heartaching grandeur. The city is perpetually bathed in a golden sunlight that feels almost tactile, beckoning wanderers to stray from the path. It invites you to trace the cryptic runes and faded murals etched into the crumbling walls. Here, the air is surprisingly light and refreshing, humming with a vibrant, phantom energy of the past.

Yet, for all its charm, the city urges travelers not to linger — to keep moving while the sun still shines, past the skeletal remains of houses, through the central square and the ruins of its temple, further and further away toward the exit, pursued by the warm, smiling gazes of light shadows flickering within the cracks. For when the sun dips below the horizon, hell unfolds.

At dusk, the city reverts to the exact moment of its demise — the night it ceased to exist. (I often wonder if this was one of my own past lives, or if I caught a glimpse of the fractured memories of another soul from the Crossroads)

It was meant to be the night of victory. The enemy forces were retreating, and the air was thick with the high spirits of townspeople awaiting their returning soldiers. But by morning, the city was gone.

In an act of spiteful devastation, the surrendering enemy airships unleashed alchemical bombs upon the border settlements — something akin to a magical version of nuclear weapons. In a single heartbeat, the once-beautiful and full of life White City and its history were reduced to ash.

No traveler can survive the inferno of that night. Despite all their power, the only sanctuary the Eternals could carve out within this Echo is the temple at the heart of the central square. To be caught anywhere else when the spirits’ smiles turn to the tense silence of the night is to be erased along with the city.

Let's start by distinguishing Perekhrestya as a "Waiting Room" and Perekhrestya as my "Home Reality".

The Waiting Room (Echo of Perekhrestya) °•

The Waiting Room, or the Echo of Perekhrestya, is a version of the Crossroads’ mansion frozen in time. It is a materialized reflection of my consciousness, manifested as a sprawling estate of tangled corridors and countless rooms. Within this echo lies a library containing all my memories and stories of my many alternate lives and realities, carefully organized on the shelves.

The architecture itself is a living diary, one can "read" my thoughts hidden in riddles etched into the walls, frames, and decor. The interior — the arrangement of rooms, stairs, and floors — often shifts of its own accord, adapting to my fluctuating moods. The estate and its surrounding forest form a vast, ever-changing labyrinth. The estate is alive, and I am the heart of it.

Usually, only I and my Shadows reside there, though I am occasionally visited by my other incarnations, old friends from the "Real" Perekhrestya or acquaintances from other realities. In this realm, I usually appear in a human form, as it is one of the forms I'm most familiar with. The only difference is that I may have more eyes than necessary. Usually, these extra eyes simply float around me (I add them on some drawings), while at other times, there are actually several pairs of eyes manifesting on my body.

The backstory behind it °•

Perekhrestya as my Home Reality °•

Perekhrestya as my home reality is not even a single reality — it is a multiverse (for later terminology, I will call the realities tied to it "Realms"). The estate and its surrounding forest exist as a pocket dimension, anchored at the node where its realms intersect, literally existing on the crossroads. The mansion’s doors serve as gateways to these dimensions, and its library holds the collective knowledge of every realm belonging to Perekhrestya.

What am I to it? A "God", an ether, the energy that fills everything living and inanimate. In truth, I have no specific material form — I am everything and I am nothing. But you must agree, that isn't very interesting way to be, so I do have a material avatar of sorts. Purely as ongoing experiment, so to speak. I am the ultimate shapeshifter: since I am ether, I have no DNA of my own, and therefore no limits on my transformations (and no name, to what title from my "meet the shifter" refers to)

Beyond myself, there are others in Perekhrestya —>

The Eternals: these are "deities" created by me. There are five primary manifestations: Life and Death, The Material and The Illusory, Chaos and Order, and additionally, Pitʹma (Darkness) — and no, there are no mistakes, there are five of them without Pit'ma.

The Guardians (The Cards): the literal residents of Perekhrestya's estate, who also known as "The Cards". Usually, only the Aces are responsible for order within Perekhrestya itself and are the ones called Guardians. The others are often simply refered to as residents or inhabitants.

The Travelers: those who don't mind dropping into the Taverns of Diamonds Dzvinky through their journeys between worlds. It should be noted, however, that they never actually reach the Crossroads/Perekhrestya itself (as in pocket dimension in the heart of the multiverse).

Other Living Beings: the various flora and fauna native to Perekhrestya's many realms.

Conclusion: we have Perekhrestya as a waiting room and as my home reality. In case of home reality, term "Perekhrestya" can be used to refer to both the multiverse itself and the pocket dimension situated at the crossroads of its realms. Fun fact, there are a whole different language on The Perekhrestya (as my home reality).

I’ve also decided on my MCU self and added some hints to the backstory regarding Lady Morena’s blessing...

Due to the black magic and some mistakes of my parents' coven, I was born with the gift of blue freezing flames — something a human body simply isn't built to handle. However, Lady Morena took pity on me (with some persuasion from Veles, known patron of sorcerers) and gave me her blessing. She took me under her wing, replacing the all-consuming flames with her shadows and a gift of cold resilience (no worries, no trauma included... I actually kinda ended up with two gods as parental figures?)
