my name is julya parker, I'm 18 years old, and I'm a senior in high school. I have lots of friends, I'm in the school band, I play the flute, but everyone at school knows me because I'm one of the best students in science and physics. I'm the cure addicted and learned to play bass at 13. I draw, paint, photograph landscapes, know ballet and intend to learn to skateboard. I live with my two dads; peter parker, my dad, and ben choi, my stepdad. we also have pets: herm, a female cat, and remus, a male dog, who is very attached to me. I'm an extrovert, but I turn into a shy person whenever my crush, the attendant at my favorite coffee shop, looks at me.

my name is julya parker, and I was bitten by a radioactive spider months ago, while walking through an abandoned oscorp building (my best friend's idea) (long story). during those months I not only took care of myself, my family and my friends, but of queens and all of new york. however, it wasn't always like this. It wasn't always my father, my stepfather, and I. I lost my mother, joyce allen, when I was 7. she was a firefighter and died saving people. with my powers, I wanted to honor her, save people just like she liked to do.
when I was 14 years old, my father met a florist, the owner of a flower shop, who always gave him the best bouquets of flowers when he bought them to give to some women he dated. every time my father went to his flower shop, he fell more in love. little by little, my father also fell in love with him and soon introduced him to me. my father had never liked anyone so much before until he met him, not after my mother, and I could see it in his eyes.
with the arrival of herm and remus, we formed a good family. my family. the one I now protect more than before. this also includes my aunt may, the only sister my mother had and who always comes to see me with crazy travel ideas.
but you really want to know? my family are also my friends, and the good people in this neighborhood.
alexey westwood is my "guy in the chair," but long before that, she was, and still is, my childhood best friend, which I mentioned before. she's like a sister who has always been there for me. alexey is amazing with technology and helps whenever she can. it's like my tony stark. with her help, we created the perfect costume, with communication and security devices. my costume became red with white details, with a communicator in the center of the chest — in the drawn spider — where I can talk to her and stuff; and then I became 𝒮 pider-red.
I also have other best friends; min yoongi, brittany rose, and livie octavius. It's been the five of us since elementary school. my duty is also to keep them safe.
oh, and speaking of safety... there are two special places where I don't let anything bad happen: my dad's flower shop and my favorite coffee shop. I really love that coffee shop, the one I've been going to since I was a kid. the coffees smell like my childhood. do I have a favorite coffee? I do. and the attendant knows it. do I have a favorite employee? yes, it's him, jeong yunho, and the coffee shop is his family's.
I remember the first time we actually spoke. he was making my mochaccino and I started speaking in korean horribly because yoongi swore he would like it, and then he made me say the wrong words just for fun. yunho wasn't mean to me, actually, his sweetness was in the genuine laugh he let out. after that, we talked to each other whenever we saw each other. and then, I saved the coffee shop as spider-woman.
now, we're dating, and since he is one of the few people who know about my identity, he's someone else I want and need to protect.
that's why I do this. the powers are a gift, and I have responsibilities on my hands.
