Like, I’m not disappointed at who the traitor is, but this traitor reveal feels cheap after that last chapter. The way AFO’s eye zooms on U.A. and it’s Hagakure. Couldn’t you have just had some inconspicuous hint that it was Aoyama rather than bait and switch with Tooru.

What’s the point of the traitor plot? Wasn’t it to build up tension and strike at an opportune moment? Was it AFO saying, hey, you know what? I still have eyes on U.A.?

So Aoyama just reveals who he is to Deku and Tooru’s slinking back into the irrelevance. She was just looking at the real traitor all along guys! Now Aoyama just comes clean, and that’s it.

Like I thought the spy in U.A. being Hagakure knowing exactly how U.A.’s new defenses work would be terrifying for them, and it’s high stakes. There’s a hell of a lot of evidence, generally speaking, against her.

Also, AFO putting all his hopes on Aoyama as the traitor?

(Unless she’s still not off the hook.)

Either ways, I guess sad backstory for Aoyama. but I really just wanted something for one of the U.A. girls. She was scarier because of this blank slate of a character she is.
