Back in the early 1980s, Dieter Rams was becoming increasingly concerned by the state of the world around him – “an impenetrable confusion of forms, colours and noises.” Aware that he was a significant contributor to that world, he asked himself an important question: is my design good design?

My Generasi (My Generation)

Forgot to post this back then. A great video that will literary bring you to a walk down the memory lane, especially for Malaysian students that are born in the 80s and 90s. 

My favourite part was 'Facebook back then', which can't help but make us ponder how socializing has evolved from face to face interactions, to the lifeless electronic messages most of us use today. An enjoyable and heartwarming short film. :)

Extreme Engineering - S.M.A.R.T Tunnel in Malaysia

Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel is a storm drainage and road structure in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and a major national project in the country. The 9.7 km (6.0 mi) tunnel is the longeststormwater tunnel in South East Asia and second longest in Asia.

The main objective of this tunnel is to solve the problem of flash floods in Kuala Lumpur and also to reduce traffic jams along Jalan Sungai Besi and Loke Yew flyover at Pudu during rush hour. There are two components of this tunnel, the stormwater tunnel and motorway tunnel. It is the longest multi-purpose tunnel in the world.
